The next morning, Arden got up early to try to do some research on missed connections, hoping to find some clues on who Mr. Empty was and where they could find him. Trevor and Brandon were also there when she wake up that morning, and she filled them in on what she had learned from Rowan last night and what happened to Tessa.

Trevor knew way more about missed connections than she did and offered to help her look for information on Mr. Empty. Brandon had left a while ago to go get breakfast, leaving the two of them to start the search. Arden pulled up missed connections on her laptop at the dining room table, Trevor sat down on the couch in the living room with his laptop as well.

"So, how does missed connections work?" She asked him while waiting for her laptop to load.

"It's like an old-school message board." Trevor said, "You can look for sex, buy drugs, sell slime, post info on a party. I'm not seeing anything on Mr. Empty yet."

Arden looked back at her laptop, then frowned as she looked at her camera. She thought about how Mr. Empty and KingCobra might get information from people...and a question popped in her head.

She looked back at Trevor, "Do you think the Zoo can watch us through computers like this?"

"Usually, yeah, through the camera." He nodded, "But not my computers. I had a bunch of files stolen last year and I don't use cloud shit. Always use a VPN. Keep most of my stuff offline."

"Smart." Arden nodded, posting the sticky note over her camera, "Mind giving me a tutorial sometime?"

"Sure." Trevor nodded.

As Arden put the pad of sticky notes back down, she saw a paper that caught her eye in the pile of them sitting on the counter. It only caught her attention because she could see the school logo at the top, and when she pulled it out and looked down at it, she found it to be Trevor's report card. She frowned a little as her eyes scanned over it, seeing that his grades went from A's and B's to him having all D's this cycle.

"D's?" She looked over at him, "I thought you were like a genius or something."

"I am a genius." Trevor rolled his eyes.

Her eyebrows furrowed, "So...why the sudden grade drop? What about college?"

He just shrugged, "Guess I don't give a shit anymore."
