XXXII. \\ TICK TOCK //
"What are you guys doing here?"
Arden asked curiously as she stood across from Brandon and Sean, who had both made their way inside from the rain, surprised to find her and Trevor there. She was curious as to how all of them ended up in the same place. Brandon and Sean looked around the room as they stepped inside, clearly uneasy about all the dead animals mounted on the walls around them.
"Some skate bitches told us that Lance Broadly works here." Brandon said, then frowned a little as he looked back at them, "Why are you two here?"
Arden glanced over at Trevor, standing beside her. He still seemed a little shaken from a few moments ago when she was trapped inside the other room and he couldn't get to her.
"Trevor decoded a message from Mr. Empty on the missed connections site asking Zoe to meet him here." Arden said, "So if both of our searches led us here, that means Mr. Empty and Lance Broadly are the same person."
"So, Mr. Empty, aka Lance Broadly, was Zoe's boyfriend?" Trevor frowned.
"Maybe he was Dunbar's friend too." Brandon pointed out, "Maybe that's why he's doing this."
Arden was starting to wonder that as well, especially after finding out that the words written in blood above Zoe's dead body translated to "Dunbar Lives". That meant there had to be some connection...she just couldn't figure out what.
Arden then looked at the boys around her, "Okay, when was the last time any if you guys went to camp?"
"Two summers ago," Brandon said, "I didn't go this past summer."
"Me either." Sean said.
Trever spoke up though, "I did."
"Was Dunbar there?" Arden asked him, "Do you remember who he was hanging out with?"
"Mostly just by himself," Trevor said, "Or with Hawk a little bit."
"And Hawk has been hanging out with Alison," Sean said, "And Alison was at the bonfire."
Arden felt uneasy, hearing that Hawk was somehow tied into this. She wouldn't go down the road where he could be involved in the Zoo or with Mr. Empty. There was no way he could be apart of it.
"Ali went to camp this summer." Trevor said, "I mean, she's friends with Zoe. They went to school together."
"This all keeps coming back to camp somehow," Arden pointed out, "Did something happen at camp?"
