"Hi Janet."

"Ahh Sahara, finally." I could hear the rudeness in her tone. Though it was subtle enough to pass as professional, I wasn't having any of it.

"Yes, well we have been extremely busy lately and signing a contract with a boyband hasn't been a priority, which leads me to say that unfortunately we have decided against re-signing the contract with One Direction. India and I have agreed that at the moment we would rather focus on our label and we wouldn't want to give One Direction anything less than 100% effort and attention if we were to sign." Man was I not going to take any of this womens shit. She tried to interrupt me mid way a few times but I continued anyway.

"Sahara, I think you and India should really reconsider. I understand your label is your number one priority, but One Direction are the biggest boy band on the planet. Not only are they style icons but they are constantly in the public eye. Your label would recieve excessive amounts of exposure and benefit greatly from a contract with us."

"I understand that Janet, however we've agreed that we don't want any distractions at the moment. One Direction has helped boost our publicity and popularity during the last contract, and thats more than we could ask for. Thank you for your time but we are simply not interested." I felt like I was talking to a telecommunicator trying to sell me the latest energy deal with a free trial period of bull shit.

"Hmmmm. Perhaps you girls aren't as accomplished as we had assumed, considering you cannot handle a contract aside your usual jobs but I understand. Have a good day Sahara." And the mother fucking bitch hung up on me. I sat with my mouth wide open for a good five minutes in shock at her complete lack of respect. It took everything in me not to call her back and say "listen here bitch, I'll fuck you up without a single strand of hair falling out of place, then tell me I can't handle something on the side of my day job." I was furious and the only person I could think to call that had any authority over the matter was Grace.

"Grace you won't believe what just happened." I said.

"What now Sahara?"

"I called Janet and she said India and I weren't "accomplished" enough to handle a contract over our usual jobs. Can I sue her?"

"No unfortunately not. There's nothing we can do."

"What do you mean theres nothing we can do!? We can't let her get away with saying something so degrading Grace!"

"Hmmm, I guess I'll have a think about it and see if theres anything we can do but I highly doubt it Sahara."

"Come on Grace, there has to be something, even if we just take a really ugly photo of her and release it to the press or something!?" I pressed and she laughed but I was serious.

"I think that's harrassment but I'll talk to Wayne now that he's back and see if he can do anything about it."

"Wayne?"

"Yes Wayne, head of public relations."

"I know he's head of public relations but I didn't know he left?"

"I was under the impression you signed the papers approving his vacation?"

"No, I never did. India might've, I'll ask her. How long was he gone for?"

"He left at the end of March, did a Europe trip." She said casually but I was completely confused.

"Since March? Who was acting PR?" I asked.

"Rick."

"Rick!?" I was astounded, why did I not know any of this.

"Yes Sahara, Rick!? You should know all of this, have you not been reading your emails. Rick would have had to apply for the position and the applications should have gone past you and India for approval before they were sent to the hiring department." Grace was getting annoyed so I decided not to ask anymore questions. Truth was, no I haven't been reading my emails unless they were titled SALE.
