Summary: The Wendigo is a part of Northern Native American folklore, a large cold creature that feeds on humans.

Behavior and Powers: The Wendigo is created when a human beings stoops to cannibalism to survive, usually in the harsh months of snowy winter. When they've committed this taboo, it is said the spirit of the Wendigo possesses them or their soul and heart freeze and they turn into the monster themselves. It is possible to turn into one when you've been in contact with the monster for much too long, their ice spreads to you as well. Their appearance varies, some people claim the Wendigo is covered in matted hair, with antlers and a deer like snout. Other sources claim the Wendigo has smooth white skin, and it's hairless. But most agree that the Wendigo is tall, with glowing eyes, and it is very skinny; skinny enough to see ribs poking out and it's joints in plain view. They know no mercy, if they see a human then they will try to devour it. They only know eternal hunger, the human that they may have been once is completely gone. Some people say that the Wendigo uses tricks to hunt down its prey. It can mimic voices, and possess the minds of people to give them the same unquenchable lust it has for human flesh. If that doesn't work, it has its unnatural speed to take care of things. It is considered taboo to say the monster's name, I only write it here for convenience. Think of it like a curse, to mention it is to potentially call its attention.

Known Weaknesses: The Wendigo usually has a human frozen inside, and if you want to save them then you must kill the Wendigo. Fire can be used to melt the icy creature, but if that doesn't work then you must manually attack the monster. If the human doesn't return to their senses and dies, it's for the best. Death is a much better fate than becoming a senseless, cannibalistic monster.
