Episode 57

Recap: Sam tells Swara that she has a patient with split personality disorder. The patient is revealed to be Sanskar. After seeing Sanskar after five years, Swara becomes shocked.

EPISODE 57

Swara leaves the room in shock.
Sam- Swara!
Sam follows Swara. He goes out into the hall and sees a panicked Swara.

Sam- Swara, are you okay?
Swara rushes inside her cabin. Sam follows her inside.

Sam- Swara, what happened out there? Why are you acting so strangely?
Swara stays silent.

Sam- Swara, for the past five years, I haven't asked you a single question about your life. Have I? When you moved to Australia, did I ask you what happened? Did I ever ask about your family? Did I ask about your husband? I didn't even know you got married until I saw you with sindoor and a mangulsutra. Still, I didn't ask you anything. For these five years, I stood by you and now you're the best heart surgeon in the country.
Sam sighs.

Sam- Swara, I have watched you indulge in nothing but your career in these past five years. What happened all of a sudden today? Why did you behave like that when you met Sanskar. Do you know him from before?

Swara thinks- No. Sam is right. I can't give up my career now. Now, I am only Doctor Gadodia. I do not know any Sanskar Maheswari, nor did I ever know him.

Sam- Swara?

Swara- I'm fine. Let's go. Mr. Maheswari must be waiting.
Swara leaves her cabin, leaving Sam baffled.

The Next Scene...

Swara- Mr. Maheswari?
Sanskar turns towards Swara.

Swara- Hello, I am your doctor, Doctor Gadodia.
A smile tugs on Sanskar's lips.

Sanskar- I just want to kiss you.
Both Swara and Sam are shocked.

Swara- Excuse me?
Sanskar starts singing.

Sanskar- Baby you know that I miss you.
I wanna get with you tonight but I cannot babygirl,
And that's the issue.
Girl you know I miss you,
I just wanna kiss you,

But I can't right now so baby kiss me thru the phone.

Swara thinks- Sanskar, what are you saying?

Sam- Oh. Swara, he currently thinks he is a singer. That's why he is singing this song.

Swara looks at Sanskar, her heart slowly shattering seeing his condition.

Sanskar- Hey Doc, what's wrong with me? Can you quickly tell me?

Swara- Voh....Mr...Mr. Maheswari. I will have to see your reports. Sam, can you go and get them?
Sam leaves to get the reports. Sanskar walks up to Swara and slowly walks around her.

Sanskar- Someone once told me love is friendship. Love is fire. Love is pain. Love is blind. Those who don't love, don't live...aur jo pyar karte hai, voh jeena bhool jate hai.
Swara becomes surprised by Sanskar's words. Sanskar's serious face suddenly turns into a smile.

Sanskar- How was that? Were those good song lyrics?

Swara- What?

Sanskar- Song lyrics. Good right?
Swara lets out her breath. Sam comes back with the reports.

Sam- Swara, I have the reports. Have a look through them.
Swara takes the reports and looks through them. Tears start forming in her eyes, but don't drop. Sam looks at Swara.

Sam thinks- What happened to Swara all of a sudden? In these past 5 years, she hasn't showed any emotions. Not once has she cried. And today.....
Swara slyly wipes her eyes and continues reading the report with a blank face.

Sam- Swara, are you okay? Is anything wrong?
Swara looks back at Sanskar and tears form in her eyes once again. Swara chokes on her words when she tries to speak.

Swara- Sam, I'm going now.
Swara leaves. Sanskar sees her wipe away a tear.

Sam- I'm sorry Mr. Maheswari. We will proceed with your treatment tomorrow. You may leave now.

(Swara's apartment....)

Sam runs to Swara's apartment and finds the door open. He slowly walks inside and closes the door behind him. He goes near Swara's bedroom when he suddenly hears sobbing. He enters Swara's bedroom and sees tissues all over the floor.

Sam- Swara?
Sam looks at the bed and finds Swara hysterically crying.

Swara- Sam! What is happening? I can't stop crying.

Sam- Ummm..Swara...umm....why are you crying?

Swara shouts at him- I don't know! I can't stop!
Swara continuously cries. Sam walks up to Swara and sits next to her on the bed. Slowly and hesitantly, he pulls her head into his chest and holds her tight.

Sam- Shhh. It's 5 years worth of pain. Let it out.
Swara is continuously crying. After a few minutes, Swara calms down and pulls away from Sam.

Sam- I think I'll leave you alone for sometime.
Sam gets up to leave.

Swara- Sam.
Sam stops.

Swara- Don't you want to know what my married surname was?
Sam turns around and sits down.

Swara- You have been by my side when I had no one. You gave me a place to stay when I had no roof over my head. You gave me a new hope when I lost all hope. If I am here right now, it's only because of you. I think it's time for you to know who I really am.
Sam looks on confused.

Swara- My name is Swara Maheswari.
Sam hits realization as the pieces click in place.

Sam- Maheswari? Sanskar Maheswari?

Swara nods- Sanskar Maheswari....my husband.
Sam is shocked.
