Third Person Point of View

It was the day of the release of Alex and Jack's cover and the two decided to spend it together. None of their fans knew about the cover or the music video, so it was going to be fun seeing everyone's reactions.

As they walked around LA together, Alex spotted a small, cozy coffee shop on the side of the road. A grin erupted onto her face as she took Jack's hand and began pulling him inside. She didn't know why she was so drawn to the small building, but something was telling her to go inside.

"Why exactly are we in here?" Jack asked curiously as the pair stood at the counter. Alex noticed that he hadn't bothered to let go of her hand once she had stopped pulling on it, but neither had she.

"I don't know. It looked cute and I want coffee" Alex replied with a shrug of her shoulders. Jack playfully rolled his eyes and smiled at the girl beside him. Alex grinned back, only looking away when an employee approached them.

"Hi, can I have a mocha frappuccino with extra cream please and..." Alex trailed off, looking to Jack for his order. "I'll have the same" he stated.

Alex raised an eyebrow at Jack once the employee had began making their drinks. "What?" he questioned innocently as he noticed her gaze. "Do you even know what that is?" Alex asked, referring to the coffee. She folded her arms over her chest and looked at him expectantly.

As Alex had assumed, Jack shook his head. "Nope but it's all you seem to drink so it can't be that bad" he stated teasingly. Alex rolled her eyes and punched his arm lightly before taking her coffee and sitting on a comfy chair in the corner. Jack sat down opposite her, laughing lightly.

"Do you think we should mess with the fans?" Alex questioned suddenly. Jack looked up from his phone which he had begun scrolling through and shot her a questioning gaze. "Like, should we tease them about the cover? We could post something on Instagram saying something is coming and see how they react" she explained excitedly.

Jack couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm. He knew she wasn't doing this to be mean or spiteful to her fans, she secretly wanted to let them know what was happening and this was the next best thing. "Sure, why not" he eventually replied.

Alex somehow managed to grin even wider and pulled out her phone. Both of them posted a picture of themselves - fifteen minutes apart to avoid suspicion - and captioned it "Big things coming soon."

Almost instantly, instagram began to blow up for both of them with fans wondering what was happening. Some of them had guessed it involved both of them since they had posted around the same time and their captions matched, but many were still clueless.

Others had been thinking new music was coming from either of the two bands, but the fact that none of the other guys or London and Jackson had posted anything made them doubt themselves.

"This is crazy" Alex giggled, her eyes glued to her phone. She began liking and replying to some comments, making sure to avoid any that would make it seem like she was hinting at what was coming.

"Yeah. I don't think anyone knows what's actually going to happen though" Jack stated, also liking and replying to comments.

The two sat in a comfortable silence for a few minutes, drinking coffee and scrolling through instagram. After a while, Jack turned his phone off and turned his attention to the girl before him.

"Are you a magician?" he randomly asked. Alex slowly looked up to meet his gaze, unsure if she had heard him correctly or not. "No? Why?" she asked cautiously. She didn't know where he was going with this. A grin spread over Jack's face as his features lit up.

"Because whenever I look at you, everyone else disappears" he stated with pride. Alex internally cringed as she let out a groan, allowing her head to fall to the table in frustration. "Tell me you did not just say a cheesy pick up line" she whined.

Jack nodded, still smiling proudly at her. "Do you have a band-aid? Because I just scraped my knee falling for you" he continued, his gaze never leaving the blue-haired girl. Alex looked up at him while scowling, choosing not to say anything and hoping he would give up.

"Let me tie your shoes, 'cause I don't want you falling for anyone else" he continued with determination. As Alex stared into his eyes, she tried her hardest to keep a straight face. However, she quickly crumbled as a smile crept its way onto her face and a small laugh escaped her lips.

"Do you have a map? I'm getting lost in your eyes" Jack said. It was almost like he had a book of cheesy pick up lines memorized in his brain. "Oh my God, Jack" Alex giggled, covering her face with her hands as she began to blush. She didn't even know why she was blushing in the first place.

"Do I know you? Because you look exactly like my next girlfriend" Jack continued. His smile had been replaced by a smirk as he leaned over the table so he was closer to Alex. "You done yet?" Alex asked, shaking her head in amusmant.

This seemed to make Jack even more determined. He grabbed her hands in his and stared deeply into her eyes. "Are you Mexican? Because you are my Juan and only" he said very seriously, his face never breaking.

Alex instantly burst into a fit of laughter. There was no way she could contain herself after hearing that last one. Somehow, they got more and more stupid as he went on.

Jack sat there smiling at the girl, happy to see her laugh and knowing that he was the reason she was laughing. That was how the two speant most of the day; laughing as Jack rhymed off terrible, cheesy pick up lines. It was definitely one of the best days Alex had had in a long time and all because one boy had decided to be an idiot.
