Alex's Point of View

Today was the day that I would finally meet Christina Marie Harris. For once in my life, my anxiety wasn't getting to me. It was probably because of the fact that we had been talking all the time ever since the livestream I did with London, but either way, I was not complaining.

"Hurry up" I whined as Jackson strolled out of his apartment building and made his way towards the car.  London and I were practically bouncing in our seats. We needed an extra girl around to balance out all of the testosterone.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm coming, calm down" he retorted while hopping over the door into the backseat, too lazy to bother opening it. As soon as he was in the car, London had taken off towards the Why Don't We house.

Christina had arrived the day before, but we decided that it was best to let her have a day with Corbyn before we crowded her. Now, however, I couldn't wait to meet her.

"Oh, hey guys" Zach began as he finally opened the door to us. However, he was very quickly cut off by a girly squeal. "Alex! London!" a familiar voice yelled.

My smile grew even wider as the familiar brown hair of Christina came into view. Immediately, I ran past Zach - nearly knocking him to the floor - and straight into her arms.

"Christina, oh my God" I breathed out, ecstatic to finally meet the girl who had quickly become one of my best friends.

"Hey, you finally fpund someone the same height as you" Jack laughed. As I released the girl, I shot a glare at him. "Hey, it's not my fault I'm only five foot three" I complained. Everyone always made fun of my height - they were all joking of course - but I saw it as an advantage sometimes. It's a lot easier to blend into a crowd when you're short, even if you do have blue hair.

"Hey, how come I didn't get that sort of greeting?" Corbyn asked, walking over to the group and wrapping his arms affectionately around his girlfriend. I smiled at the two of them, seeing how happy they were together. I wanted that with someone.

"Because Alex is better than you" Christina said bluntly. Jonah and Zach snorted at this but quickly shut up once Corbyn began to glare at them. "Besides, I needed to meet the girl that Jack won't shut up about" she smirked.

I raised my eyebrows questioningly at Jack once I heard this and I noticed a slight blush rise to his cheeks. "See! Even Christina knows that Jalex will rise" London exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air.

Now it was my turn to blush as I quickly hit London's shoulder. "So what are we doing today?" I asked, trying to change the subject. It was six o'clock in the evening, so our options were slightly limited.

"We could have a movie night" Daniel suggested. Everyone seemed to agree in some way or another, so we began gathering piles of blankets and cushions.

"Can I make popcorn?" I asked. Whenever we had a movie night, I always made sure there was enough popcorn, so naturally I wanted to make some now.

"Yeah. I'll show you where it is" Jack said, leaving everyone else to set up the room. I followed him into the kitchen and sat on the counter as he turned on the microwave.

"So what are we watching?" I asked, deciding to break the silence that had fallen between us. Jack looked up and smirked slightly. "Hush. It's a horror movie" he stated. I nodded in understanding, deciding not to say anything.

I could tell that Jack thought I was going to get scared and hide my face in the cushions, but he didn't know that I loved horror movies. Granted, I would sometimes flinch at the jump scares - who doesn't? - but I would always laugh at anything remotely related to gore.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by a ding from my phone, signalling that I had gotten a text. It was from John. Usually I would ignore my phone when I was with a group of friends, but if John was texting me this late, it could be important.

"Oh my God!" I yelled as I read the text. Instantly, I jumped off of the counter and began jumping up and down with excitement. Everyone had now run in, wondering what had happened.

"What? Are you okay?" Christina rushed out, fearing something bad had happened. "Did Jack finally tell you that he loves you?" Zach asked, causing me to look at him with confusion while Jack glared at him from across the room.

"No, and no? John texted me. Just Give Me a Reason hit ten million views!" I squealed, jumping up and down as I said it. My smile somehow grew even bigger when I saw Jack's brown eyes light up with joy as he registered what I had said.

He immediately ran over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, picking me up and spinning me around. I began to giggle as I rested my hands on his shoulders for support.

"Come on lovebirds, we have a movie to watch" London said while smirking. I rolled my eyes at her but followed everyone into the living room once Jack had put me back on my feet.

I didn't miss the smirk on London's face as I sat in the only available seat - next to Jack. She knew I wouldn't get scared and hide in his arms, So it really wasn't much of an achievement.

Before long, the lights were turned off and the movie was playing. As soon as the first murder had happened, Christina had hidden herself in Corbyn's chest and Zach and Daniel had covered their eyes.

I, on the other hand, had laughed through the entire scene. Jackson and London were used to it by now, but the guys sent me very confused looks throughout the movie. "Why are you laughing? He's literally stabbing her repeatedly!" Jack exclaimed, looking at me in horror.

I smiled and shook my head, knowing he wouldn't understand. I didn't actually know why I found it so funny, but I always had ever since I was young. Maybe it was some sort of coping mechanism, but either way I would never be the stereotypical girl hiding in the guy's arms.

As the movie progressed and more and more jump scares came along, everyone became more on edge - aside from me. Zach and Daniel had fled to the safety of their rooms, Christina had fallen asleep on Corbyn, London would hide in the cushions every so often and Jackson and Jonah would squeal like little girls.

Jack, however, didn't seem as scared as the rest of them. He seemed to be hiding it, but I could see right through him. He was trying to act strong, but with each attack or jump scare, he would flinch a little more.

Eventually, Jack was no longer able to keep up his façade. As the main character began running for her life, he couldn't bare to look any more. Giving in, he hid his head in my shoulder. I chuckled at his reaction and grabbed his hand, holding it in mine for reassurance.

He seemed to relax slightly at this, but his head was still burried firmly in my shoulder. "How can you watch this?" he mumbled. I giggled and began running my other hand through his curls. His hair was so much softer than I had expected.

Immediately, his body relaxed completely although he didn't move from where he was. Eventually, he decided to turn his head to watch the movie again. However, it still remained rested on my shoulder. Our hands were still intertwined and I was still twisting strands of his curls around my fingers.

It was suddenly hard to focus on the movie.
