Third Person Point of View
It had been two days since Alex had her anxiety attack and, luckily for her, Jack hadn't asked her what triggered it. He also hadn't told anyone else about what had happened, meaning no one else would ask her either.
Truth be told, she wasn't entirely sure herself what had triggered it, but she pushed it to the very back of her mind, not wanting to think about it at all.
She was lying on her couch, scrolling through fan edits when her phone dinged. Jack had texted her. She stared at the text, slightly confused. All he had said was "come find me" along with his location. He hadn't given her a day or time, so she assumed he meant right now.
Alex sighed and dragged herself off of the couch. She was about to leave but stopped herself as she passed the mirror next to her door. Suddenly, she began to question what she was wearing. Usually, she wouldn't care what she looked like - especially since it was only Jack and the two were very close - but now she did.
Groaning in annoyance, she eventually gave in and went to change. Surely he could wait an extra twenty minutes. Jack's location was in a park on the edge of town, so she figured a skirt or a dress would be a bad idea.
Eventually, she decided on blue, ripped mom jeans with fishnet tights and an oversized black crop top. She was still second guessing herself, but it would have to do; she had waisted enough time already.
When Alex arrived, it was already noon. However, she never realised that the park was a skate park, which meant she'd be watching Jack do tricks all day. She didn't mind, however; he was really good and it was funny if he ever fell.
She thought it would have been easy to find Jack considering the place was basically deserted, but the curly-haired boy was nowhere to be found. She frowned as she pulled out her phone, about to call him and ask where he was.
"Boo!" Jack yelled as he snuck up behind the girl and grabbed her waist. Alex let out a sequel as she jumped. She turned to glare at him but couldn't help but smile when she saw the innocent look on his face.
"You're an idiot" she said, hitting him on the shoulder as he still held onto her waist. "But you love me" he teased. Alex's heart jumped slightly, but she wasn't sure why. Brushing it off, she just rolled her eyes at him and pulled out of his grip.
"So I take it I'm watching you fail at doing tricks?" Alex taunted playfully as she walked backwards away from him. Jack smirked at her and shook his head. He clearly knew something that she didn't.
"Not me" he said, shrugging his shoulders. Alex frowned in confusion. There were a grand total of two other people there and she highly doubted Jack knew the ten year old boy or the homeless guy on the bench.
Jack put his skateboard on the ground and kicked it towards Alex who stopped it with her foot and raised her eyebrows. "You are" he stated, smirking at her.
Alex's jaw dropped open. "What?" she exclaimed in disbelief. "I'm going to teach you how to skate" he repeated, walking over to meet her. Alex backed away slowly, too afraid to set a single foot on the board.
"Hey, it's okay. I'll hold your hand. I won't let you fall. And if you do, I'll catch you" he said, more softly now. Alex hesitated for a moment but nodded anyway, putting her trust in Jack.
She took his hands in hers as she carefully put one foot on the board, followed slowly by the other. She felt the board begin to roll back and forth beneath her, but Jack's grip held her steady.
