Unreachable Zacharius

Prologue

Before you read this story, I want to inform you that I am too lazy to proofread the chapters so please expect grammatical errors and typos. I am a beginner so do not expect too much from me. Now, if you are maarte and a 'perfectionist' I suggest you to just exit and find another story that can satisfy your 'needs' as a reader. Okay? Okay! I don't want anyone throwing bitch fits here.

Simula

"You should've reported these shits to me the moment it all fucking started! Look at the goddamn percentage of our lost! Fuck! And I've spent five fuckin' days in Malaysia for what? I've wasted a week gaining this goddamn project only to be- damn it!"

Zach's furious. Hindi ako mapakali sa pagkakaupo habang pinapanood ang ginagawa niyang pagsigaw sa loob ng opisina. Naaawa ako sa aming senior executive na halos lumuhod na sa kaniyang harapan. The poor middle-aged man look so helpless in front of him.

"Mr. Gray, p-please calm down. We will know kung sinong nasa likod ng lahat ng ito. You just have to trust us," matapang na sagot nito kahit halatang kinakabahan na.

"We lost eight fucking digits this week! How the fuck did that happen? You are the CFO of this fucking company, you should damn know! Your job is to report directly to me. What happened?" he yelled.

Halos mapatalon ako sa gulat nang hampasin niya ang kanyang mesa. Nanlilisik ang mga matang binalingan niya ang CFO. His gunmetal eyes narrowed dangerously at the senior executive in front.

"This will put the whole corporation at risk. You are the Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Maximo and you clearly didn't do your job."

Umiling ang senior executive at mabilis na lumapit sa kanya. Zach immediately held up his finger to stop the CFO but the latter seemed to be so desperate to explain his side. Huminto ito sa harap ng magulong lamesa, natataranta at naghahanap ng mga salita.

"If you will just hear me out. I... I had the President informed about this since Monday. He authorized me not to have the news reach you, not to touch it, and wait until your arrival. He never called for an urgent meeting-"

"Get this shit fixed or I swear to fucking hell you will lose your position in the company." Zacharius bellowed dangerously.

His head snapped towards me. Napasinghap ako sa gulat. I blinked rapidly. Kumalabog ang puso ko nang makasalubong ang nag-aalab niyang mga mata. He pursed his lips and gestured me to come to him. Dahan-dahan akong tumayo kahit nanginginig.

"Why are you still here? I said get the fuck out!" sigaw niyang muli sa senior executive na natahimik na.

Bahagya akong napahinto dahil sa takot. Bumaling ako kay Mr. Maximo. Yumuko ako at nakatungong pinanood ang pagtalikod nito at paglabas sa opisina. Mabagal akong naglakad patungo kay Zach. Huminto ako sa harap ng kanyang makalat na lamesa. At the corner of my eyes, I could feel his burning eyes directed at me. Tumungo ako upang hindi makasalubong ang matalim niyang tingin.

I sighed and tried to fix all the scattered papers. Nanginginig pa ang kamay ko habang dinadampot ang mga ito at tinitipon sa isang tabi.

"Leave all of that, Miss Austria. Come here." his voice was terse, it made me tremble.

Nasulyapan ko ang mga kamay niyang nakatukod sa ibabaw ng lamesa.

Napalunok ako. 

Binitawan ko ang mga papel sa takot na baka ako naman ang pagalitan niya. Huminga muna ako ng malalim bago nag-angat ng tingin at umikot papunta sa kanyang kinatatayuan. Kung saan-saan napupunta ang tingin ko. Para akong batang may ginawang kasalanan at natatakot na mapagalitan.
