Chapter 48

Our night ended up well. Zacharius was extra sweet and caring. Pagkatapos naming kumain at magpahinga ay siya pa ang nagbaba ng mga pinakainan. He even carried me to the bathroom and brushed our teeth together. I wanted to stay up all night and ask him many quetions, but I figured he was still a bit uncomfortable sharing all of his innermost thoughts to me so I decided to just let it go.

"Goodnight, Zach..." I whispered while he was tucking me to bed.He caressed my forehead and looked deep into my eyes.

"Goodnight, Mrs. Gray..." malambing niyang sinabi.

Yumuko siya at hinalikan ang aking noo. Napapikit ako nang sunod niyang halikan ang tungki ng aking ilong. Mabilis niyang pinatakan ng halik ang aking labi bago siya tuluyang nahiga sa tabi ko. He scooped my thigh under the comforter and imitated its position when I woke up earlier. I bit down on my bottom lip hard.

"Sweetdreams. I love you," sabi ko nang mapansing namumungay na ang mga mata niya ngunit titig na titig pa rin sa akin.

He immediately closed his eyes and pulled me closer as if we are not close enough."I love you so much, too," he quietly said.

The warmth of his hug and the soft caress of his rough palm against my skin made me fall fast asleep. I woke up with a very light feeling. Nanibago pa ako sa sarili. Saglit akong natulala sa guwapong mukha ng katabi ko. He's sleeping peacefully beside me. Gusto ko pa sanang mahiga ngunit naalala kong may meeting pa ako. I slowly and carefully got up from the bed. Maingat kong tinanggal ang kaniyang kamay na nakayakap sa akin. I smiled and kissed his lips before making my way towards the bathroom.

I took a bath and came out wearing a robe. Napangiti ako nang mabungaran si Zach na mahimbing pa rin ang tulog. He's an early bird. Kahit hating-gabi pa siya umuuwi noon ay palagi niya pa rin akong nauunahan sa paggising. Ngayon... it's already past six in the morning and he's still not awake. Maaga naman kaming natulog kagabi? Nagkibit-balikat ako at pumasok na sa walk-in para maghanap ng maisusuot.

Luckily, I found a red tube top and a faded high-waist jeans. May red heels din doon at iyon na lang sinuot ko. Nagbihis ako sa closet at medyo natagalan doon. I was expecting Zacharius to be already sitting at the edge of the bed and waiting for me, but I found him still in deep slumber. Kumunot ang noo ko at imbes na pumunta sa dresser ay nilapitan ko siya. I sat at the space beside him and stared at his handsome face. Hindi ko alam kung bakit parang kinikiliti ang puso ko sa simpleng pagtitig lang sa kaniya.

"Zach..." I tried to wake him up.

I fixed his messy quiff a bit. His hair has gotten longer, huh? Tumutubo na rin ang stubble sa kaniyang baba, making him look rougher. He's so handsome. I think his face is perfect. I am not even exaggerating. His lashes are thick and long. His eyebrows are thick and suited his gray eyes well. His narrow and pointed nose is perfect. His thin lips are naturally red, making it look very seductive and sexy. I don't know, but I find his jaw very appealing as well, specially when he clenches it. This is why girls chase after him. He's just oozing with manliness and sex appeal.

"Zacharius," I called while caressing his cheek.

He only groaned as response. Kumunot ang noo ko nang hindi siya magising. He's even snoring. Puyat na puyat?

I bent down and kissed him as my one last attempt to wake him up. Pero gumalaw lang siya at tumagilid ng higa. I decided to just let him sleep. He seemed lacking of it. Dahan-dahan akong tumayo at pumuntang dresser para naman mag-ayos. I applied lipstick and did my eyebrows. Napabuntung-hininga ako nang mapansing mas lumalala ang basag na salamin ng dresser. I realized just now that the cracks of it were because of a strong punch. This explains Zach's fresh cuts on his fist. He goes violent when he's frustrated and angry and it is worrying me. Pinilig ko ang aking ulo at nagpatuloy na lang sa pag-aayos.
