Chapter 9

Pagkatapos umalis nina Ethan at Adela ay hindi na ako bumalik pa sa Starbuck's. I took a cab and decided to go home instead. Dahil hindi pa siguradong ma-eentertain ako ni Adela sa kaniyang fashion show, kailangan kong i-contact ang mga angency na inirekomenda sa akin ng mga ilang malalapit na kaibigan.

Hindi ako sanay sa puchu-puchu pero ayos na iyon sa ngayon kaysa wala. I was a model of a major cosmetic brand and I always appear on magazines back then. I had a TV commercial, too. 

Pagkadating na pagkadating ko sa condo ay inasikaso ko kaagad ang paggawa ng email para sa mga pag-aaplyan kong agency. I only changed with an oversized T-Shirt and a cotton shorts. Damit iyon ni Zach kaya umabot hanggang kalahati ng hita ko, tinatabuhan ang suot kong pang-ibaba.

Bumaba ako sa sala at inabala ang sarili sa pag-tatype ng ipapasang email. I readied my application requirements. I picked photos of me standing against Zach room's blank wall in their mansion. They were taken by tita Leandra, when me and Zach visited there, two months ago. I chose the one with my relaxed, neutral expression so they can get an idea of my bone structure and how it reads on camera.

Good agents will be able to tell if I am photogenic even from non-professional snapshots. Pumangalumbaba ako sa coffee table habang binabasa ko ang una kong nagawa. Tatlumpung minuto ko rin itong pinerpekto.

I copy pasted it so I won't be having a hard time sending it to many. Bumuntong-hininga ako habang pinapatay ang aking laptop. Later on, I found myself going to the kitchen and making lunch for Zach. Nagdalawang-isip pa ako kung adobo ba ulit ang lulutuin ko o hindi.

Iyon lang naman ang alam kong lutuin kaya iyon na lang din ang ginawa ko. I tried to search for other recipes but the ingredients were not avaible at the moment. Kaya wala akong choice kundi adobo na lang ulit ang iluto.

Napangiti ako habang pawis na pawis na tinitikman ang bagong lutong adobo. I feel like a normal housewife whenever I do this. Ngunit kaagad din namang nawawasak ang imahinasyong iyon kapag tinatanggihan na ako ni Zach.

He said he will never eat something that I make. Ni minsan hindi niya nga kinain o kahit man lang tinikman ang mga niluluto ko. Kakainin niya kaya 'to? Ngumuso ako habang nilalagyan ang lunch box ng kanin. Saka ayos lang kaya siya sa opisina ngayon? Will he find a new executive secretary this instant? Why didn't he ask me to train a new one for him? Is he okay? Kumain na ba siya?
