The sounds of the wilderness was all around the lone male such as Mamba. His body was curled in the nest that was clearly made by Nimbus, who was a elder. Amber eyes were open as he thought about all that had happened to him, and all that Nimbus had mentioned before going after Talon.

At the very beginning he had a fairly decent life, and was the strongest raptor in the pack. Heck, he was a Beta and he practically had it all.

However, his want grew and he wanted more than what he had. The lone male in some way actually thought that he could do better than the original Alpha. At some point those feelings of his became that of him being better than all of them. Mamba actually still thought that way, even now.

His hostility was soon realized, when they took his rank away from him. That anger of his soon became the foundation of his rage and envy. As such, he tried beating the Alpha once and for all but it was foiled. It bothered him thinking about it, for he was following the customs while the Alpha's mate did not.

Rules were useless then if one doesn't follow them.
Rules are pointless!

Yet, he to didn't follow the rules after his views changed and his greed became far worse than it was originally. So, wasn't he similar to the mate who he despised.

"...", Mamba was silent as his eyes narrowed.

He was a rogue after that, for the pack chased him off. At that moment, he had lost it all but he didn't see it as a loss but more so of a chance. A chance to better himself and make a pack that far exceeded the other pack that he was once in.

Mamba soon groaned out to the pain that rocked through his body, his life on his own was tough but he never saw it as hard. The rogue actually saw it as a pathetic attempt to get him down and break him, which he figured failed. He wasn't broken, and he wasn't going to let anything get him down.

Closing his amber eyes did his maw quiver in annoyance, for his brain was still moving in thought.

Then suddenly he met Talon, a female who lack for a better word reminded him of his mother. His mother who he had refused to think about, for it was a sign of weakness. Mamba adored his mother like all offspring do, but after her death he didn't even want to think about her. Only cause the memories were far to painful than the wounds that now litter his body.

Mamba in all honesty didn't even grieve properly for his mother, for he refused too. Thinking such things however made him open his eyes slowly.

Wait...
Is this my fault...?

Mamba now looked oddly upset, due to his recent thought. Did he mess up right then and there. He didn't grieve his mothers death, and once that happened did things start going downhill. Unless it was his mothers fault, after all she spoke of many things to him only then to not keep her word afterwards.

Who is to blame...?

The lone male looked so uncomfortably bothered, and it was thanks to his mind who refused to settle. Perhaps, that was when it started. His views and greed, along with his increase to aggression. When he didn't grieve his mother, did his actions and thoughts begin to change.

He became physically and mentally distant, thus refusing to open up and show his heart. The death of his mother was the culprit. Figuring that out, Mamba scowled with a odd pain in his amber eyes.

It was my mothers fault...
If she hadn't of died I'd...

Mamba closed his eyes tightly as he felt sick to his stomach, it was like his mind refused to accept what he had actually thought. No matter how much he told himself that and that it was acceptable, did his heart and mind argue with him.
