Bael was actually nearby!?!
He really is that close...!
My daughter was actually near him!?!

Mamba's mind was a never ending storm as he thought about Bael, and how he almost killed him while taking Talon away. Once more his very own daughter met a raptor from his pack.

Just knowing that she was that close to Bael really ruffled his feathers to no end.

Nimbus could see that Mamba was troubled by this news, and truthfully he felt the same way. The elder didn't want anything to happen to the young raptors, for they were basically his family. Not to mention that he was grateful to Ragas, for he really wanted to help them out in anyway that he could. To repay them back for helping him.

"Malibu met a raptor her age so I believe that she hasn't met Bael completely yet?" clicked Nimbus as he looked toward their den now.

Mamba's amber eyes narrowed sharply in response, as he looked at the elder seriously. "But she was somewhat close to him! She was still in harms way!"

Nimbus nodded at Mamba, for he couldn't deny that. "I know."

Mamba looked so upset about this whole thing, plus he was worried about his family right now. The last thing that he wanted was for them to get hurt. "I am going to tell the others about this news."

The elder looked up in the direction where Ragas went to, his head soon looked at Mamba. "Very well. I am going to talk to Ragas about keeping an eye on that area."

Nodding to Nimbus, did Mamba turn away toward the den. He however stopped and looked back at Nimbus with a very strong look upon his features. "I am going to make new rules to ensure our safety."

Nimbus looked at him in light surprise but he nodded while looking happy. Mamba has really changed, for he was actually being a good leader. Just seeing Mamba like this made him proud in a odd way. "Alright. Please tell me about the new rules later?"

Mamba nodded at him as he walked toward the den in a calm gait. His amber eyes however showed a strong fire, for he was going to protect his family. No matter what.

Still though Mamba was surprised by how far he has come, and it was hard to believe that he was a selfish loner who only cared about himself. After all he wanted to go back to his home and get some kind of revenge on them.

But now his thoughts have changed since then.
He honestly wants what is best for his family as well as his pack. They are far more important right now than his past anyway.

Entering the den was he immediately greeted by Talon who was quick to approach him, with a look of joy. However her face changed once she saw how serious he was.

"Did something happen?" clicked Talon in worry as she looked at Mamba.

"Yeah." replied Mamba while he kept eye contact with her, though her sight was limited due to one of her eyes being damaged. The simple thought of what that raptor did to her back then, made his blood literally boil.

Talon's face was quick to change with a look of great concern, even her tail lowered some along with her head. "Oh no."

Mamba tilted his head at her, he even softly pushed her head up with a look of reassurance. "Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you or the others."

God the things I say to her when she looks sad!

Huffed Mamba's mind in his embarrassment. As he looked at her, he was trying so hard to not let much of his embarrassment show. Since the topic that he was going to share with them was quite serious, did he manage to pull it off.
