20.
"You have a death wish you know that!" Layla yelled at Izzy as she shoved her onto the couch. "What kind of friend are you?"
"FRIEND?" Izzy laughed, her voice taking on an evil undertone. "We haven't been close friends since Andy decided to take Doyle from me back during spring break."
Andy chuckled uncontrollably, "I stole him? Last time I checked he pursued me! And actually we haven't been friends for much longer than that. It's just no one had the balls to say anything. When you and Nicholette decided to drive drunk, and damn near messed up my entire life, our friendship was already on the rocks at that point. Spring break is the just the straw that broke the camels back." Andy's intense gaze bore a hole into Izzy's blackened soul.
"Oh stop riding on that pathetic excuse to blame all your hardships on me." Izzy huffed flabbergasted at the accusations. "Obviously you weren't hurt as badly as you once thought and now you're back and better than before. So you should be thanking me for what I made you endure." Izzy jumped up from the couch attempting to push her way through Layla and Andy.
"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" Layla asked stepping in front of her once more and shoving her back. "I'm not even near being done with you. Firstly you make a move on Doyle after he has made it more than clear he hasn't any interest in you, then you openly make a move on my fiancee. You have seriously fallen off your rocker. I want you out and I NEVER EVER want to see you again. Got it? Because next time I'll let Kerra take care of you the way she should of." Layla was furious, her cheeks burning red with rage. Her eyes were void of any love for her once best friend, and held nothing but contempt for this person she once thought she knew so well.
"Trust me, that little girl doesn't stand a chance against me. I may be thin like a string bean but I could easily get rid of her." Izzy sneered as she waltzed to the door.
"Give me your room key, NOW. I'll have your crap sent to you. And don't even think about making a drop in appearance at my wedding." Layla went to the door opening it and gave her a push out the door, then slammed it as hard as possible behind her.
As soon as the door was shut Layla's eyes teared up, and the pooling tears escaped their homes and made their way down her cheeks. She hurt, a person she had thought she knew since they were mere children had just done a complete one-eighty, and didn't even remotely resemble the person she once knew. Zach had heard her whimpers and rushed to her side as did Andy.
"It's okay, Lay. One day she'll realize what she has lost." Andy tried to soothe her with that thought but it amazingly didn't help a bit. She didn't want this sudden change, she was quite happy the way their friendship had been over the years. Yes, things got a bit awkward after spring break but Layla kept ensuring herself that it was only a minor bump in the road and she was lucky to have such caring, loving, and trustworthy friends since she was a child. Not many people could say they were that lucky.
Her tears continued to fall as she replayed today's events, and the events that followed up to this ungodly outburst.
"Hey, the bride shouldn't be crying on the night of her bachelorette party." Zach whispered softly in her ear. "I know you're hurt, but don't let this one bump spoil our special day. In a matter of hours you'll be my wife and stuck with me forever." He grinned as he kissed her cheek softly slowly trailing down to her neck.
"That's right, honey. We need to go enjoy this night!" Andy cheered happily.
"Come on." Zach hoisted her up to her feet, wiping the stray tears from her cheeks. "You can't stay here anyway. You were very adamant about us being apart for the night before the wedding."
