After school Taeyong went to the coffee shop where Jaehyun worked like he had promised. He didn't see Ten at all after their argument, maybe he left school earlier. Even though Ji-Eun had assured him otherwise, he felt like Ten would never accept him the way he was now.
He stepped in the coffee shop and spotted Jaehyun working behind the counter so he walked there.
"You're here again," He stopped and turned to the voice noticing it was Yuta who spoke.
"Uh- yeah, I won't come here anymore if it makes you uncomfortable."
"No no, it's fine. How could I ban customers from coming here?" Yuta smiled at him but then his expression changed. "Um...I was wondering if-"
His words were cut off when he saw Jaehyun appear beside Taeyong. Jaehyun put his arm firmly around the other's waist and pressed a quick kiss on his cheek. Taeyong himself looked surprised, as well as Yuta, and then Jaehyun was pushed away quickly.
"Babe, why'd you push me away?" Jaehyun pouted but Taeyong's eyes were only fixated on Yuta standing in front of him.
"So you two really are together?" Yuta asked and Taeyong looked at him with apologetic eyes. He was ignoring Jaehyun totally as his mind was all about one thought: Yuta knew.
"Yeah we are, Yuta, he's mine. Why are you even asking? Yongie, everything all right?" Jaehyun noticed how shaken up the boy beside him looked. Did Yuta say something to him?
Taeyong finally turned to him but only gave him a cold glance before walking past him to the door. Jaehyun walked after him. Taeyong's mood swings had always been a mystery to him. Just in the morning he had been in such a good mood.
He catched up the boy and blocked his way by running in front of him. Taeyong only looked down and tried to walk around him. "Taeyong why are you ignoring me? Was it something I did? Or something else? Please tell me."
"It's nothing-" Taeyong mumbled.
"No it's not! Can you please tell me what's bothering you?" Jaehyun reached his hand to the other's cheek but Taeyong tilted his head away, showing him not to touch him. He dropped his hand in disappointment and fear. He understood how sensitive the boy was about touching but it still hurt when he was rejected. Mostly he was scared that Taeyong would someday fear him again like he had done at first.
"I- I just...I don't think we should be togeth-" Jaehyun pushed his against the cold concrete wall and the other winced at the impact. The younger lifted his chin up and kept him still by pushing him against the wall with all the weight of his body.
"Are you for real saying that now?! Am I not good enough for you? I love you. I am fucking so much in love with you and it rips my heart in pieces every time I see you suffering and it hurts even more when you can't trust me enough to tell me the things that are bothering you. I don't wanna lose you, why can't you see that?! And hell, we haven't even been together for 24 hours!" He stopped shouting when he noticed the pained expression on the other. Despite the close distance between their faces, the look in Taeyong's eyes was so distant and empty.
"J-Jaehyun y-you're hurting me-" Taeyong pointed out and Jaehyun removed his hand from his chin and tried not to press him against the wall too forcefully anymore. He noticed how the boy was trying his best to keep himself from breaking into tears.
"I'm sorry-"
"How can you be so fine with the fact that you're- you know- into men? Does no one ever tell you ugly things and call you by names because of that? How can it not bother you?" Taeyong finally started talking. Jaehyun sighed internally.
"Of course it does! I'm a human too. I just don't let ugly comments bother me and I hope you could do that too. You don't have to change who you are for anyone to be accepted. If someone has a problem with you, it's their loss," Jaehyun caressed his cheek but the other brushed his hand away and hid his face on his shoulder. The taller then brought his hand to Taeyong's hair.
"Did someone already insult you?" Jaehyun asked carefully. He felt Taeyong nodding his head on his shoulder. "Just ignore it, please."
For some time Jaehyun thought what to say. He wanted to know who it was and why had they said hurtful things to his precious boy but he was almost sure Taeyong wouldn't want to tell him. He himself wouldn't want to tell anyone either. Jaehyun took a step back to be able to keep the other in his arms properly. "Do you want to...tell me about it?"
Taeyong shook his head as he had predicted but wrapped his arms around Jaehyun anyway. "It's okay, you don't have to, but know that you can always tell me whenever if you someday feel like it."

Taeyong did what Jaehyun had told him so he tried his best to forget Ten's words. At some moments he was able to ignore it totally but then it came back to him making him miss his friend and blame himself for betraying him even more.
He didn't go to Jaehyun's work place anymore in the following days even when the other often insisted him. He simply didn't want to meet Yuta there but Jaehyun didn't need to know that.
"Mom, me and Jaehyunie are gonna go shopping later today," Taeyong announced while the three of them were having breakfast on Saturday morning. Jaehyun was going to spent the whole weekend at their place as he didn't have shifts on weekends. They had told Taeyong's mother that they were back together as she had though they had broken up. She wasn't approving with it at first but when she saw how happy her son was with him, she couldn't tell them no either.
"Sure, have fun," She saw how Jaehyun was looking at her son beside him with heart eyes. Taeyong was busy chewing the piece of toast to notice that. The faint kiss marks on both of their necks didn't go unnoticed by her either.
"Jaehyunie pass me that please- why are you looking at me like that?" Taeyong was reaching for the jam on the other side on the table but Jaehyun did no attempt to help him.
"You have something on here," He suddenly touched the corner of Taeyong's lower lip with his thumb and pretended wiping something away from there. Taeyong was never a messy eater so he had to make up a lie to be able to do that. He then handed the boy the jam he was asking for and noticed how red his cheeks had flushed.
Taeyong faced away from him when he heard his mom let out a giggle. That was embarrassing.
After the breakfast the boys headed out. Jaehyun took the other's hand and laced their fingers together. They didn't get to walk far when they almost crashed into someone as they turned around the corner.
"Ten..."
