The Straightforward Attitude

"Muuuuuuuummmm!" I ran into the house but soon found myself into the arms of a person. I turned my head up to see Namjoon staring at me in a very confused state.

How am I supposed to answer him if he's holding onto me like this?

In the corner of my eye I saw B/N running to the kitchen and discussing with mum about the weird snowman.

"What happened to you?" Namjoon asked, still not letting me go. I wasn't prepared to get flustered today but here we go I guess.

I tried to free myself but his grip was strong enough to keep me intact.

"If you let me go then maybe I'll tell you?"

He tilted his head. "Can't you answer me like this?"

What has got into this guy's mind? Why is he acting like this? And he goddamn knows what he's doing. I can practically see him smirk on the inside.

"No. No, I can't." I tried to answer boldly but it came out as a whisper at the end. How is that bold in anyway, Y/N?

"Of course, you can't." He chuckled. I huffed in annoyance but soon felt his grip becoming loose. But it was too late, I was already on the floor, that was somehow colder than the whole atmosphere outside.

Thanks Namjoon.

"Excuse meeeee?" A voice called. I didn't get up from my place but just stared at the source of the sound.

Now what is he doing here? Goddamn it.

"Why are you covered in snow?" I managed to ask.

He looked at me first in a very judgmental way. You shouldn't do that when you're covered in snow and twigs are coming out of your hair.

He coughed. "Somebody decided to make a snowman on me."

I immediately stood up and stared at him. "Park Jimin don't lie to me, there was nobody in the backyard. And how could you fit under the snowy layer!?"

This guy was making no sense. AND HOW DID HE GET INTO OUR BACKYARD?!

"Well... do you want to hear the truth or a made up truth?" He asked, staring between me and Namjoon. I felt my detective senses activate and I could almost tell what he was about to say.

"Tell me the made up truth."

He nodded. "I like becoming a snowman."

Namjoon smacked his forehead.  Jimin stared at him in confusion.

"You're the one who wanted to come here but didn't want to look desperate for attention so you drag me here, what do I get in return? A carrot nose, twig ears and hypothermia."

"Woah woah woah, did you actually catch hypothermia?" Namjoon asked, concern now splashing all over his face.

Jimin shook his head. "No, I just wanted to exaggerate so you never engage me in stuff like these ever again."

"You need to spend less time with Hoseok." Namjoon rolled his eyes.

Jimin sighed, nodding afterwards. I actually felt bad for him but at the same time he looked so funny that I wanted to take a picture of him.

"Hey," I called out, "Jimin!"

He gracefully turned towards me, a smile so soft that all the pillows even would look shy in front him.

And snap!

In a few seconds, the photo of Jimin looking like a human snowman came out of the polaroid camera that I borrowed from my musty brother. Shaking it gently, I took a glance at it and smiled.

Damn, I have become good at timing my photos.

"AISH! ARE YOU FOR REAL?" Jimin screeched in frustration. Namjoon peaked at the photo from behind me and I could hear him chuckle.

"Sorry, you look cute though." Taking the photo from my grasp, Namjoon raised it so that Jimin could get a better view.

He groaned, walking out of the house and slamming the door like an angsty teen.

Namjoon smiled nervously and handed back the polaroid to me.

"LOOK! A MISTLETOE!"

The annoying voice of my lame brother filled the whole house as I slowly looked up at the mistletoe.

Gulping, I look back at Namjoon to see his unphased facial expression.

With a swift move, he hopped and snatched the mistletoe in his hand and stared at the plant with no emotion or soul.

"I don't believe in mistletoes," he says in his low voice. When I don't answer, he slowly gazes up at me and I content to just nod in reply.

"If I had to kiss you then I would do it straight without needing an excuse of a parasitic plant to do so."

His statement made shivers go down my spine. Luckily he didn't notice, he opened the door and let the chilly wind take the plant away with it.

I was red now, my cheeks were heating up and my mind couldn't stop replaying what he just said.

"Now, I'd love to talk with you but unfortunately I came here to complete a project with B/N, so excuse me."

He shoved his hands in the pocket of his hoodie and walked past me, towards the kitchen because apparently that's where he was when he shouted.

I don't know why I'm so surprised by the fact that he just openly confessed he'd kiss me without any hesitation, I heard him say that to Taehyung too before but I didn't think he'd directly say that to me.

Don't know what to think of that.

But what I really know is that it's obvious that Namjoon does have some feelings for me.

And hah, I do too. I'm just scared to approach the thing that's going on between us while he's holding on, waiting for the right time to come.

He's aware that I'm uncomfortable, maybe he knows that I like him too. That is why he's still waiting.

Oh God, this makes me like him even more.

"Uh... Hey.."

Namjoon scratched the back of his head. "Where is B/N's room?"

Looks like he couldn't find him there. Mum must've kicked him out.

"Up the stairs, the first room on your left." I laughed.

"Thanks... well... this is awkward." He bowed down.

"Gosh Namjoon don't bow down, it makes me look like an old lady."

"Right..." He stood there and time seemed to go by even slower in his presence.

"Why are you still standing here and making things even more awkward? Go!"

He perked his head up and nodded, thankfully escaping my very flustered state.

Why did I fall for this clumsy guy?
