The Hidden Feelings
I bolted out of my room before Namjoon could lecture me about how we shouldn't throw books around.
Or you know, he might just lecture me about how I injured him. Either way, I'm not interested.
"Come back here, Jesus Christ, what was that about?" Namjoon whined, looking at the big math book that landed on his chest. He started flicking through the pages and gasping. "Ooh my God, these questions look interesting! Wanna solve them?"
"Fuck no." I was still on the door of my room, he sighed, putting the book on my study table. His gaze lingered on the table until he picked up my English notebook and started reading my work.
"Namjoon?"
"Shhhh!"
"Okay..."
What do I do? I'm stuck here and I can't go anywhere. This is one of the most awkward situations that I have ever come across.
It took a long time to take in the fact that he was going through my English notebook, my face became pale and all of the embarrassing grammatical errors I have made in my entire life starts flashing in front of me.
I want to grab his attention but he looks so adorable with his eyes glued to the notebook.
My notebook that has so many errors.
"Woah Cloud!" He finally spoke, making me jump a little. "You certainly have a very imaginative mind, don't you?"
What?
"Uhm... what?" The Kim Namjoon didn't just compliment my English skills. No way.
I sound like a person who gets flustered every time their crush says something nice about them. Except we're together.
Well, it doesn't make it any less incorrect. My point still stands.
"Yeah! Your way with words is just amazing, even though you used very simple words."
Flashback to that Scrabble game we played. Certainly.
"I know, there are many ways to see a situation but you seem to make it slide away from the normal and boring ones." He complimented.
I wasn't ready for this conversation so I just nodded. His smile turned into a frown at my monotonous reaction.
"Has nobody ever told you this?" He questioned, which almost sounded like he was in disbelief. I shook my head and he rolled his eyes.
"Come here," he says, sitting on the bed and tapping the space beside him. I oblige, launching myself into the bed like I usually do. "You almost hit me, Cloud, jeez!"
"Boo hoo baby boy," I teased, he frowned playfully. "What do you have in mind?"
"I came here with other intentions but now I know I have to make you feel happy. You need to recognize your talent, if nobody gives you the credit then I will. I'll compliment you all day long if you're still not satisfied. You deserve remarks, I'll give you the importance that our stupid English teacher couldn't provide you."
I desparately wanted to hug him, kiss him and thank him but for someone I couldn't respond back to him.
"I..."
"It's okay, let me give you a hug. You can tell me everything you want later." He wrapped his arms around my waist and scooped me in his embrace. I rested my head on his shoulder, taking in the sweet smell of his cologne.... mhmm.... manly. I didn't want to let go.
