Chapter 21: The Red Woman

"I think it's time to explain something." Mia said with her arms crossed on her chest.
"Dad, what were you thinking?!" Teo yelled at him.
"i am sorry... A year after we got here, the Fire Nation showed up. They would burn this place to the ground if, I wouldn't cooperate with making weapons." The man was starting to cry and he walked away.

"When are they coming?" Aang asked when he stormed into the man's chamber along with Teo.
"Soon," the man replied, and a bell was heard, "very soon."
"You can't give them more weapons.
"I can't... they will destroy this place."
"I can't believe you do this..."Teo said quietly, and just at that time the bell rang harder.

Teo and Aang hid behind some stuff and a hatch in the ground opened. A Red Woman raised out of his. She had dark red hair, a dark red cloak and a darkred dress. Her Blue eyes could just pierce through your soul, and her beauty could distract you.
"You know I don't like to be kept waiting." The woman said coldly.
"My apoligizes, admiral Li Feng, I-"
"- Give us what you owe us, so I can go on."

"Oh my..." Aang mumbled, "that is Mia's mother!" Teo frowned and they listened to the further conversation.
"Well? Is there a problem?" The woman said and she took a step closer to the man.
"No... right this way." Teo's father replied and he pointed to the door. Aang jumped up and closed it.
"The deal is off." Aang said angrily.
"The Avatar." The Red Woman said and she grabbed his head with one hand. She looked in his eyes, and Aang got drowned in hers.
"I see eyes reflecting, blue eyes... My daughter's eyes." The woman said emotionless. "YES!" Aang yelled and he blew her off him.
"I see... the distruction of this temple, will be on your head. Send my daughter my regards." The woman said and she left through the hatch.

"Is that Mia's mom?" Teo asked Aang.
Aang nodded. "That woman is crazy." Teo said.
"You know what happened to her?" Aang asked.
Teo nodded and told Aang the whole story.

Aang did not told Mia, that he'd seen her mother. Mia was told she was sick, now she is a Fire Nation admiral. They all made their plans. Mia decided to make bombs with Katara, so Aang and Teo could throw them down if needed to. Sokka and Teo's dad would go with the Fire Nation air balloon to throw bombs as well.
The battle wasn't hard. It did took some stress and strength, but it went on perfectly. Katara really showed what she got, and Mia only used her waterbending as well.

"You know... I am really glad you guys live here now..." Aang said.
"That means a lot, coming from you." Teo said.
"Aang," Sokka started, "I am really glad you said it: 'with the skies, we'll keep the Fire Nation on the run!"
Everyone cheered and Mia laid a hand on Aang's shoulder. Aang shrugged it off and sighed. "Please don't..." He said quietly.

Down, far under the temple The Red Woman stood and looked at the crashed Air Balloon, that got blown up again, ready to fly.
"This defeance will lead us to many victories." She said when she stared into the flames.

"I am not the one who wants to complain, but," Sokka started carefully, 'couldn't Appa fly anything higher?"
"Oh, I know! Why don't we all climb on your back and you fly us to the North Pole?" Aang asked him angrily.
Sokka frowned and Mia yawned. "Well, we are flying for 2 days straight already... Don't blame Appa." She said.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, they got attacked by ice, shooting out of the sea.
Without any contiousness, and realisiation, Mia melted the ice with Fire Bending. But she was too late, Appa fell in the water and they got surrounded by Waterbenders. Aang explained who "Yuna" was and why she can bend fire.
"She's with Katara and Sokka for years. They left her there when she was just a baby. She turned out to be from the Fire Nation." Was Aang's story.

The Waterbenders agreed and they sailed back to a huge wall made of ice. They opened it and they sailed into the huge tribe.
"Wow! I can't believe how many Waterbenders there are here." Katara said amazed.
"I assume finding a master for Aang wouldn't be any problem." Sokka said.
Every single house was made out of ice and Mia could not believe people could live in it.

That night a great feast was hold. "Tonight..." A man started, "we welcome our brother and sister from the Souternwatertribe, who brought us a very important guest: The Avatar and his friend, Yuna fro the Fire Nation!" Everyone stopped claping and started to look to Mia in a very disgusting way. "And we also celebrate," the man named Arnook said quickly, "the birthday of my daughter Yue, she turned 16 today, now of marrying age. " A pretty girl with white hair stepped forward and Mia heard Sokka's heart beating faster.
"Thank you, father!" Yue started, "may the moon spirits watch over us in these troubled times."
"Now! Pakku and his students are going to preform!" Arnook yelled.

And old guy and 2 boys were doing all kind of stunts, that looked impressive according to Aang and Katara, but Mia has seen a lot more when she could join Zuko in the palace to watch Iroh's and Fire Lord Ozai's Firebending preforms. Pakku was going to teach Aang and Katara waterbending, while Mia only got angry faces. "It's all for Aang's sake." She said quietly to herself and she stood up and left, to go to the chamber the four stayed.

Aoi sat on her bed, under the blankets. Suddenly she realized how big he was. He now had the size of a lynx, that was bigger than a normal cat, smaller than a lion. "One day we won't be outsiders anymore." She said and she stroked his back. She looked at herself in the mirror, when she stood up. She saw a 16 year old girl, with black hair that reached her collarbones, big green eyes and a grim face. She looked at her blue clothing and wondered if she'd ever wear a red skirt with a red top with a golden dragon print on it. She strted to think further. A red wedding dress and a golden flame in her top knot and at last... Zuko next to her as Fire Lord.

The other three came in after one hour, all with a huge smile on her face. "What a warm welcome!" Katara said happily and laid down on her bed. "It's everything except warm," Mia grunted, "it's hideous." Sokka rolled with his eyes. "You were the one who wanted to go to the North." Sokka said. "Yes to help Aang! Not to come here as "Yuna" and to be called out by people for Fire Nation scum! I am Mia Li Feng, and I am the daughter of Maya and Yun Li Feng," She said cold, "I don't know if they are at Ba Sing Se, alive or dead or imprisoned. I don't know if my dad is sick or my mom is a Red Lady who can stare in flames and be one of Ozai's right hands!!!" She yelled.

Sokka and Katara looked at her with their mouths open and Aang started to become as red as a tomato. "I know what the truth is. I have seen her." Aang said quietly. "WHAAAT?!" Mia yelled and Fire shot out of her finger tops. "It's true... She works for Ozai. She was the one who bought in Teo's dad's weapons. She is admiral along with Zhao. She left your father to help Ozai, because your father refused to go with her... and now your father is very sick." Aang said quietly.

Mia's eyes were filled with tears and she ran out of the room. She ran to the gates, but she got stopped by Pakku. "Let me through." She said. "Why?" He asked. "My name is Mia Li Feng and I want to leave this hideous place!!" She said full of anger. A raven flew to Pakku and he read. "Seems your mother is on her way here. Of course her daughter will help her to track the Avatar. For now, you are not going anywhere. TAKE HER TO THE DUNGEONS!" He yelled and he hit Mia, knocked out.

"Never trust someone of the Fire Nation. Not even a friend of the Avatar," A guard said, "do you think Maya would stop if we'd take Mia as a hostage?"
Pakku shook his head. "No... That woman is unstoppable."
