There's something about secret relationships that is just so exciting
Sneaking around can be so lucrative
And I'll admit that the idea still gets to me in ways I shouldn't let it
Because I know all too well secret relationships have far too much to tell
About what's going on inside
And I know all too well about
guilt
and shame
and hiding
Why is it so easy to fall into these traps of a hidden love
When the reasons of being discovered mask the feelings for each other
It all falls to pieces
Behind closed doors
That remain sealed tight
Until they don't
And you have to find some way to explain why you're a mess
And why you have trust issues
And why you either over-share or don't communicate enough
And when you think you've finally learned your lesson
You find yourself
Curious
And blindsided once again
