Emily

An obnoxious ringing sound blasts throughout the room.

"Stupid alarm" I mumble half-asleep. Groaning, I roll over onto my side and pick up Julie's phone. The bright screen blinds my sleepy eyes and I blink repeatedly until they adjust. When I can see clearly, I see Zayn's name light up the screen. She must have changed the nicknames they put in. Answering the call, I look over my back to see Julie still fast asleep.

"Hey Julie. I've been trying to call you-"

"Zayn? This is Emily. Julie is still sleeping." A loud yawn escapes while I'm talking.

"Oh okay." I can almost hear him frown with disappointment. "Can you have her call me back later?"

"Or, I could just pass the message on to her when she wakes up." I suggest.

"Yeah. That would be great. Just let her know that I wanted us to meet up later. If she agrees, tell her I'll pick her up at five."

"Can I go with you guys? I really want to see Niall." I ask excitedly at the thought of hanging out with him today.

"Well, it's only going to be Julie and I tonight. You can't really go with us because it's a special occasion." He shoots me down.

"What kind of special occasion?" I nosily ask, trying not to sound hurt.

"I'm going to ask her to be my girlfriend." His voice full of confidence.

"That's so sweet. Good luck! I highly doubt she will say no because you make her so happy- at least that's what she has told me before. How she thinks it's so adorable when you make eye contact with her and how you stand up for her and-"

"Emily? Are you supposed to be telling me this?" He laughs in the background.

"Um...Probably not. Anyways, I'll let her know. What about attire?"

"I'm taking her to The London Eye. Have her wear something nice. Please try and not make it too obvious about what I'm going to do. Bye Emily. Thank you."

"Alright Zayn, I promise I won't. Bye."

Ending the call, I take a glance at Julie who is unaware of the call and tip toe over to her closet. I flip through all of her clothes, but never find a dress that would work.

Crawling back into bed, I sit on top of her and shake her shoulders.

"J! Wake up!" I yell, disrupting her sleep.

"Mmph." She mumbles, pulling the pillow over her head.

"You've got to wake up! We need to go shopping for an outfit for your date with Zayn tonight." The word "date" slips my mouth before I realize it.

"What?" At the mention of Zayn, she shoots up, making me lose my balance and sending me off the bed onto my bum.

"Ouch." I stand up and rub the spot I had fallen on.

"What did you say about Zayn?" Julie asks now wide awake.

"I said: We need to go shopping for an outfit for tonight." I try and fix my slip-up so she doesn't notice.

"Date?" Her eyebrow raises.

"What do you mean date? I never said anything about a date. You're imagining things J. I don't think you are fully awake quite yet." My words come out fast. She looks hopelessly confused so I explain it to her again.

"We have to go shopping to buy you an outfit because you are going somewhere with Zayn tonight." I explain slowly.

"How do you know this?" She yawns and rubs her eyes.
