Presence is the feeling-of-being in the here-and-now. It involves the thoughtless awareness of the present moment. Presence means that you're not thinking about the past or dreaming about the future, you're so consumed with the present moment that nothing else matters and yet all I can do in my current state is think about our past, the good times and the bad times.

P A S T

I never thought that I could find a love that was as magical as ours. The kind that makes you excited to get out of bed in the morning. The kind that makes you believe in yourself again and in your potential. The kind that helps you find the sparkle and the glimmer of hope in your world.

You're my Christmas morning kind of love. You make my world brighter just by being in it and make even the most ordinary moments feel enchanting. You give me a reason to smile when I am so stressed I just want to break down in tears. You challenge me and make me want to be better. You aren't intimidated by my goals, and you push me to go after my dreams.

You are the magic in my life. My epic love. You are my peace in the chaos and my greatest gift. You are what I am always the most thankful for. You are the one I want to spend every major holiday with, and every ordinary day with. Because our love is different. It has grown through so many changes, and I know that it will continue to grow because we will choose to keep fighting for each other always.

Knowing that fills me with wonder and makes me so grateful. It reminds me to hold on to the things that matter and it challenges me to let go of the things that don't. So, thank you for being my Christmas morning kind of love each and every day. For filling me with wonder and passion and for helping me see the magic in a love story that only grows more vibrant with the passage of time.

I slid my fingers along his collar bones, drew the line of his carotid, the shape of his jaw. I saw that beauty spot on his shoulder always where it should be, this small scar on his chin after an overenthusiastic shaving.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and rested my head on his shoulder.

It was so rare for him and me to be sleeping like this together. For us to even be on this vacation was rare. We were both surrounded by utter peace and beauty in the countryside of the city. Tsukauchi made sure that Toshinori and I weren't bothered this Christmas day saying that we needed it and we deserved it.

"I am a bit surprised to see that you are up Hana," Toshinori said while tightening his grip around my waist and pulling me close.

"Force of habit," I replied.

"I thought I broke that habit after last night," Toshinori smirked causing me to playfully slap him on the shoulder causing him to then laugh at my embarrassed state, "Regardless, at least we are waking up to the sound of no cars, no calls for help-"

"Yeah, Tsukauchi really did us a huge favor by asking other heroes to handle any crime today..." I said.

"So let's use this day wisely and create more good memories for us," Toshinori said while quickly pinning me down to our bed as he looked directly into my eyes with that fearless grin, "Create more good stories..."

" You think this is a story? We're talking about our life here."

He breathed a laugh and his eyes squinted as he smiled. You liked this expression, he seemed relaxed, deprived of any bad thoughts. It had been so long since you had seen him like this.

"We're all stories in the end." He muttered, "As long as there is someone to tell the tale."

"W-who will tell our tale Toshinori?" I asked.

"Our children," Toshinori whispered as he locked his lips with mine. It happened so quickly, it left me in a blushing daze. As soon as he pulled away, I wanted him back against my lip. My arms wrapped around his neck as I deepened the kiss. It was long, passionate and left me wanting more.
