"Coming through!" Paramedics yelled as they rushed to Toshinori's side and placed them on a stretcher.

"He has an open wound on the bottom left side of his torso, blood coming from his head from the blows he received, he is in pretty bad shape."

I looked at Toshinori while trying to keep a straight face despite the anxiousness rising inside of me. He was laying on the bed, the sheets soaked in blood, bleeding himself out. His eyes were tightly closed, his usual smile twisted into a painful grimace. But yet, in all that pain, he wouldn't let go of my hand.

Toshinori cough blood and took what seemed to be a painful and throaty breath.

"Toshinori..." I called to him before slowly removing his hand from my own, "I will be there, but please let go...I need to make sure our children are okay."

"Please don't leave me..." He grunted between his clenched teeth colored in a dirty red just before the paramedics took him to the operating room.

"I won't this time," I said, "I'll make sure that Tsukauchi keeps you informed with where I am."

His intense and purposeful gaze strikes me like a thunderbolt. He knew he was taking a leap to trust me but was a bit at ease when he saw me walk over to Tsukauchi to explain the situation.

"I promise Toshinori, but I need to focus on our children right now..."

N O W

With everything that happened, I honestly couldn't believe that my little six-year-old was able to forgive me for everything I had done. Then again, as I stated before, she was smart for her age.

"I understand if you don't forgive me Serah, but believe me that I did everything to protect you while making your father live his dream to be number one," I stated looking down at her as she hugged my legs while looking up towards me, tears streaming down her face.

"You never abandoned me..." Serah sniffled while trying to dry her face.

I smiled a bit before reaching down to her level and pulling her hair away from her skin before it could stick there.

"I'm sorry," I breathed, my voice numb and my eyes filled with sorrow, "I just thought it was the best way to protect you..."

Serah laid her head on to my chest as I hugged her as tightly as possible, cradling her and soothing her tears. I soon lifted her up in my arms and cradle her some more while turning my head towards my twins breathing through their oxygen mask just starting at the situation before giggling again while kicking their legs in the air and reaching their hands out in my direction.

"Miss Akaguro, there you are!" a nurse yelled out as she ran out towards me, "You know you shouldn't be up right now! You should be resting from your injuries from the car accident and also the stress you added to it when fighting All for One!"

"I know...but my kids are my priority," I said looking back at them all.

"I understand," the nurse said, "It is that maternal instinct that calls out to you to make sure that they are okay and happy, which is why I have asked the doctor if it was okay to move the twins into your room."

Besides Serah forgiving me, that had to be the happiest news yet. My children were all going to be in the same room together. However, once she said those words she began pushing me away from the twins causing their giggling to stop and crying the pursue. It has only been a couple of days and they were already certified mama boys.

"Also, Mr. All Might will have overstay visiting rights to come and stay with you guys," the nurse added.

When she said that, Serah stiffened as if she was afraid of something. Her reaction is what caused me to worry.

"Is something the matter Serah?" I asked.

"I-I used my quirk on Mr. Yagi...and...-" she began causing me to chuckle.

"I know Serah," I replied, "And it is quite alright, you reacted out of rage from what you believed but I do believe you should apologize to him..."

The Darting glances and nervous fidgeting was all apparent on her but this was one of those things she was going to learn how to handle, especially if she wanted to be the best hero.

"Did he say when he would be coming?" I asked.

"He stated within an hour after he finishes personally apologizing to the parents of UA high," the nurse replied.

"Okay..." I mumbled.

Once she left, I had settled Serah down on the bed to which she quickly latched on to me causing me to laugh at her behavior.

"Hey, you're not the only one who has to apologize to him you know?"

"Why do you need to apologize to him?"

"I hurt him as well," I replied, "Not physically but emotionally, and that hurts more than anything."

"Really?" Serah asked.

"Really," I replied, "You see Serah, For a heart to break it must first be whole. From the start of conception, the heart is one of the very first organs to develop in the womb. The human heart, however, does much more than pump blood creating that ever so familiar drumming sound. Sometimes that sound is so loud in your ears you can't hear anything outside of your own body. Sometimes that sound is so quick and so thunderous you think you may not ever hear it again....but by pushing him away from us, he was unable to press his ears to my heart and mine is the only one he probably would ever want to hear and this is how a heart breaks."

Even with a speech like that, she was still a bit terrified but I know with time she will be able to move past this.

"I know it is tough Serah," I said, "But I if you want to be just like me, it starts small and I think giving an apology would be the first thing to do..."
