"OOWWIEEE!" Serah cried.

"There there Serah, I don't want to see you cry," I responded while cradling her to my chest, " how do you expect to be better than me if you don't get your regular shots?"

"But it hurts!"

Believe me, I can see how that unforgiving steel of a needle can hurt. It was one of the things I hated in my life.

"And done!" the doctor said while retracting the needle from Serah's arm as she sniffled from the shot and continued to bury her head into my chest as I soothed her down.

"It's okay Serah," I replied while kissing her forehead as she continues to calm down.

"You know Hana," The doctor began, "Her quirk manifested much faster than ever seen."

"I know," I said, "It is probably something that comes from my side of the family."

"It could be," the doctor said while putting a bandaid on the area where Serah received her shot, "Or it could be that while All Might had his quirk and you guys consummated that the genes could have somehow made her quirk manifest."

"Could be," I replied, "But highly improbable."

"Well we shall see with your twin boys," the doctor responded.

"Hm," I replied, "Thanks Doc."

"As always," the doctor, "Glad to be of service to the very woman who saved my life back when All Might and herself returned to Japan and made their debut as the number 1 hero."

"Number one hero, you know I hate that title because of the fandom and stardom that comes with it. I simply want to save lives and instill peace in this world so that my children can live in a world without worry. I thought by minimizing my presence and distancing myself from all might, peace would come. But even I am able to see that there is entirely too much violence in this world of ours." I said out of thought.

"Too much..." Serah started.

"Yes Serah, the presence of violence comes from hate. I thought at one point with All Might being our symbol of peace the violence would stop and the hatred would decease. But when you were kidnapped that day by the sludge villain, I stopped believing in that idea of peace and wanted to do something the permanently  stop this cycle of hatred and violence and now with all might but now that All Might is retired and they are exposed, I am just not sure about how to go about it yet. I know that eventually that day will come when all people will come together and live in harmony, but with the circumstances now...I need that day to come now."

"I know you will find a way," the doctor said, "you always do."

"I guess but if I can't then I would hope that you will do so, Serah?," I replied while rising from the ground with the doctor rising from his chair to escort yourself and Serah out of his office.

Once the doors of the building, I felt Serah's hand slip from mines. I looked towards her to see her running to Toshinori as he kneeled down and gave her a hug. I guess it only took a short time for them to have that father-daughter bond.

"Right now," the doctor started, "your priority is kids and that man; even though you publicly rejected his proposal, I can tell that he undoubtedly loves you."

I turned and looked towards him as he smiled and I returned the smile back at him. Soon he pulled me into his embrace causing me to be shocked. That moment his arms squeezed a fraction tighter and I breathed more slowly, my body melting into his as every muscle lost its tension to the summer air. This was refreshing and restoring because it reminded me of the arms that I had been in back in Toshinori and myself's younger days.

Also, because I knew that the doctor was using his quirk on me to restore my power levels back.

"You really do know how to give the best hugs," I mumbled.

"I knew you didn't want Serah to know that your power levels were so low,"  he whispered, "Refrain from using your quirk in short bursts."

"Doctor's orders?" I joked while pulling away from the hug.

"Doctor's orders," he replied as we both bowed to one another and parted ways.

I walked towards Toshinori to see he was looking towards me with a smile on his face...but his eyes were telling a different story. They seemed to be holding a surge of emotions such as anger, envy, sadness, and a bit resentment.

"Thank you for taking time out of your schedule to pick us up," I said with a small smile.

"I would do it anytime," Toshinori said somberly.

The sound of his voice didn't seem enthusiastic.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

"U-Um yeah, sorry." Toshinori said, "Shouldn't we be heading home?"

Toshinori turned around and walked towards the road to hail a cab while Serah looked between myself and Toshinori and then nodded her head. I soon looked at him and then Serah and then kneeled down to her.

"You know something?" I asked.

"Papa is jealous," Serah whispered in my ear.

"Wait!" I yelled, "Why?"

"Papa saw you hugging Doctor Sawano," Serah answered while still whispering in my ear. That cause me to open my eyes wide.

Throughout our years growing up, I was always jealous of the girls that would hit on Toshinori and wanted to pulverize those girls what would grab on his muscles when he was in his hero form. Now it seems that there was a bit of a twist on the situation. I was now the girl getting all the guys and the one guy I truly fell for is jealous of it.

"So, what should I do?" I mumbled to Serah and glanced down at her to see that she was smiling and walking away. That irked me because knowing that quirk of hers she carried out 100 different choices and saw one  probability that she liked and is going to make it happen.

At this point, I wish she got Toshinori's genes of not having a quirk 😑. She never even met his sidekick and yet she kind of acted like him without the stoic and intimidating presence.
