26th December 2012....
Mr. Gold: I couldn't sleep in that cold rainy night of December. Couldn't stop remembering the troubling vision of the savior with her eyes screaming darkness, as long as her silhouette and the shadowed queen whose wicked tongue whispered in her ear the secrets of evilness.
More disturbing than the crimson vision of corpses laying in the Enchanted Forest was the detail that I omitted from the Charmings. Emma wouldn't just become a villain, she would become the next dark one! And if the prophecy was fulfilled, then it meant I was going to die at the savior's hands, and her name would be stamped in the silver dagger.
Belle was by my side, fast asleep, as my head kept spinning and spinning around the threats the future held.
"Rumpel, honey, what's wrong?" She asked, as she stretched her arms. She was still sleepy as hell.
"Nothing, Belle, go back to sleep, dearie." I said, but not in my weird creepy voice that sometimes escaped through my lips and forgot the shady and mysterious "Mr. Gold" in me, that whisked away any maniacal sign of the crocodile with the flare for theatrics.
"Rumpel... I know you too well." She whispered, with a serious look, but a gentle, relaxed smirk that couldn't refuse to shine her face.
I smiled at her, and exhaled, as I found the guts to be honest with her.
"It's about the vision."
"Of Emma's dark future? Oh, I'm sure she'll make it through. Her love for Henry will help her do the right thing."
"But I'm scared..." I confessed.
"You're the dark one, your power will protect us from her. I have faith in you."
"Yes, that's why I'm scared. Emma won't just become a villain, she's destined to be the next dark one."
"Oh..." Belle's face dressed seriousness. "So that means that you will...no!" The words fainted in a last breath, as panic covered her once sweet look.
"Yes. Miss Swan is fated to kill me."
"Rumpel..." She whispered, worried.
"If I want to protect myself, I have no choice...I must be her end, before she becomes mine."
"No, Rumpel! Look, we'll find a way to stop her, but we won't kill anyone."
"Belle...." I never found the way to believe that goodness was the solution for anything.
"Rumpel, she's your grandson's mother and I think Bae still has feelings for her..."
"You're right..." I finally admitted.
"Fine, now, let's get back to sleep." She said, looking more relaxed, as she held on to the hope I wouldn't fall for my darkness, once again.
I lied next to her, yet my mind didn't seem to quite itself. I couldn't relax knowing my life was threatened, and more importantly, my power!
Yet, I promised Belle I wouldn't hurt Emma. She was right, I couldn't kill my grandson's mother, but that didn't mean I couldn't kill his other mother!
Yes. It made sense in my twisted mind's eye. If I killed Regina, the prophecy of Emma becoming the dark one wouldn't become true. I would be safe.
That was it, I had to kill the queen. Guess Rumpelstiltskin was good at finding loopholes, in any realm!
