Storybrooke, 29th December 2012....
Dark Swan: "I thought we were going out for a drink not a graveyard tour." I contested, as the Evil Queen guided me to her vault with a devilish smirk stamped in her lips.
"We will have time for that, but first things first. We must get our hands on the magic that will allow us to have everything."
"You mean, Henry?"
"Yes, and our revenge."
"Our revenge? I killed Snow White, I think we had our few share of revenge." I replied, with a smirk.
"Yes, about that. Those two have more lives than a cat!"
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, rolling my eyes at her.
"Your obnoxious mother found a way to cheat death."
"What?!" I asked, out loud, as I stopped, staring at the inked hair queen's eyes.
"Yes, the Blue Fairy tore out Charming's heart, broke it in two halves and gave one to your mother! They took a page out of our play book, toying with such dark magic, but now, it's time for us to do the same."
The Evil Queen lifted her hand and the doors of her vault opened.
We entered in that dusty chamber. In one of its shady rooms, there were vials of potions, aromatic candles and a magical cauldron.
She walked past some of the magic items and got her hands over a small wooden box.
"What's in there?" I asked, extremely curious.
"Only the most powerful spell I have. The dark curse."
"What?!" I knew that was not an easy spell, it was definitely the trickiest and the darkest. If one thing I learned as the savior is that curses with such dark power are never worth the cost of being cast because they are always broken.
"Regina, you know that's silly, right? You want to cast another curse?"
"What better way to have Henry then erase his memories about all the fairytale crap, in fact let's erase everyone's memories. Everything will get back to the way it used to, and now that you are on the dark side, the curse will never have a savior to break it! It's genius!" She pointed out, with a devilish laugh.
"You're forgetting the all part of sacrificing the heart of the thing you love most!" I remembered her.
"Emma, your father gave a half of his heart to resurrect your mother. You can use my heart to cast the curse, then you'll do the same your father did, and bring me back to life, hm?" She asked, positively certain her plan would work.
"What?! No, absolutely not! I just lost you, I won't lose you again! Let along by my hands!" I told her, trying to scream some reason in her.
"Relax, it will be fine. I trust our love to be true, this will work. Have faith in us."
"I do, babe, but this is too risky. There has to be another way. Some other spell that will allow us to have it all. You know this curse isn't what we think it will be and it's not worth the cost. It was a trap created by the dark one himself so that he would find Neal. It's not even a big curse at all, it just sent everyone to Coastal Maine, when it promised to take everyone to the worst place in the universe!" I mocked of the power of said spell, even knowing it was still a very powerful one. But that was the only way I had to make Regina see things clearly.
"Oh, come on, don't mock my work! I made your parents suffer for twenty-eight years! Oh, and plan was finding you, imagine if my priority was actually to make them suffer!"
"We'll find something else, I promise. We'll tell Henry about what they did to us and then he'll see we are the real heroes, not them!"
The Evil Queen placed her hands on my hips and lost herself in my arms.
"Alright, Swan.... We'll do this your way, but just this once! If it doesn't work, promise me we'll cast the curse."
"No, we'll find another way, but we won't cast the curse, again."
"Promise me! It's the only way."
"It isn't. There's actually a better one."
"Oh, now I'm curious." She confessed with a seductive devilish smile.
"We can take the biggest source of dark power in town for ourselves. Then, we'd be unstoppable and be able to take Henry with us, vanquishing all of our enemies in the snap of our fingers."
"Wow, sounds like you have a plan. What's this power you're looking for?"
"The Dark One's dagger."
