A lot of surprises ahead, as the dark one's agenda gets pretty twisted....
Storybrooke, 28th December 2012....
Mr. Gold: My eyes widened as I couldn't believe what I heard, standing in the forest's clearing, witnessing Mary Margaret, David and Regina's fight.
It seemed to me as an opportunity I didn't want to miss. After Regina's death, by the hands of the wraith, there was still a possibility the town would point their fingers to me as the culprit. That could lead into Miss Swan wanting to avenge her love and I'd be in danger.
What if I could come up with a conundrum to make everyone think David and Mary Margaret killed Regina.
After all, the mayor didn't have her magic, the bracelet was still on her wrist and even though it was a matter of time before Emma took it off, I could work fast enough to bring her demise and blame the Charmings.
That way, no one would think about my role on Regina's demise.
It was a great plan, one that had everything not to fail. So, I started putting it in practice.
I went to Granny's, where Emma and Henry were waiting for Regina to lunch.
I stepped inside, the mayor hadn't arrived, which gave me time to talk to Miss Swan.
"Good morning Henry, how's it going?" I asked to my grandson.
"It's great."
"Gold, how's Neal?" Emma asked for her ex, how odd!
"He's great. Miss Swan, may I talk for you in private?"
"Sure, is there something wrong?" She looked worried.
"Well it is a delicate matter."
We stepped outside for a minute, while Henry checked Granny's menu.
"What is it?" She asked, curious, crossing her arms.
"It's about your parents. They came to visit me. They were very anxious about your relationship with Regina."
"What? But why would they come to you about it?"
"They wanted to see what the future held for you now that you're with Regina."
"And..."
"The vision I showed them traumatized them. You see, there's a prophecy that says that you will become dark if you stay with Regina. Your parents became so worry that I even heard them talking about putting an end to the mayor so you wouldn't fall for the shadows." I lied, looking very serious. I hoped my darkoness and found for trickery would be immune to the savior's lying detection skills. I was lucky when I found out they were.
"You think they'd hurt Regina? Plus, why are you telling me this?"
"Well, as much as me and Regina had our differences, she's Henry's adoptive mother and I wouldn't want to see the boy get hurt. I realized they grew closer, ever since she left the asylum, plus, Belle would want me to do the right thing."
"I have to talk to them. I still didn't find a way to take Regina's cuff off, she has no magic, she can't defend herself. But still, I don't believe my parents would hurt her, this must be a misunderstanding.
"No, you, Miss Swan, I also heard them talk about something else. Something they're hiding from you and that's why they probably will go straight to Regina."
"What is it?!"
"I heard them talk about the real reason they put you in the wardrobe. It wasn't so that you could escape the dark curse. They did it before the curse was even cast."
"What?!" Her eyes widened so much, her breath was taken with the revelation.
"Yes, they did it because they discovered Regina and you were destined for one another. You see, even though they weren't sure you'd fall for the darkness if you fell in love with her, they were afraid of it. Now that my prophecy showed their fear to be true, imagine what they could do! If David and Mary Margaret sent you, their own child, away and sacrificed raising you just to keep you apart from Regina, imagine what they can do to the woman who hurt them so much."
As Emma realized her parents weren't as heroic as she thought, she started wondering if they had depths of darkness in their souls as well and if they could really do something as terrible as murdering Regina.
"I have to find my parents right now."
"I hope you do, Miss Swan, before it's too late."
Emma left the diner in a rush. I couldn't help but leave a smirk paint my lips, as I realized my plan was perfect.
Now all I needed was for the wraith toconsume Regina's soul and when her body lied on the ground, everyone, includingEmma, would think the Charmings were responsible for the tragedy. With Reginagone, the prophecy of Emma becoming the dark one wouldn't be fulfilled, I wasrestful to know that me and my power would be safer than ever.
