Storybrooke, 30th December 2012....
Regina: I ran as fast as I could. As I walked through the town, I could see everyone's widened look, as the lives they had buried in the sands of Time and beneath the waves of Oblivion came into the surface.
Lives we all thought to be forgotten or impossible to be real, yet we knew that they could be tangible and breathed inside us.
Places I never thought I'd visit, let along live in, from Seattle to Neverland! New iterations of people I knew all too well, like Lady Tremaine and her wicked stepsister, studently found themselves in my life, painted in a all different way.
There was so much me and everyone in Storybrooke lived, so much we forgot! A thousand curses more, and we thinking one was enough.
"Regina?" Emma called me, she looked so different, now. Her bun faded and her whitish hair as well, for now the golden blonde locks reappeared and so did the bright in her emerald eyes and her red leather jacket. "What's going on?!" She asked, confused.
"The curse, I think I broke it." I told her, placing my hands above her as my wide smile warmed our hearts.
"Curse? What curse?" She asked, with a genuine smile. I could see she found comfort and happiness in the light of my look and brightness of my smile.
"The curse of oblivion. Emma, we all were mistaken to believe that dark and light is all that exists, we are so above all of that! I love you, all parts of it, and I'm sorry it took me so long to realize that. I'm sorry you were caught between the battle I had inside me."
"What are you talking about? Wait, did you see all those flashes coming, too?" She asked, placing her hand on my check, as I smiled brightly. "Those were real memories? Did we really go to Neverland, Oz, and all those other places?! Wait, was the guyliner pirate real too?" She asked, embarrassed as she covered her eyes with the palm of her hand.
I couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Yes, sadly that was real too."
"Wait, Henry, we must find him!" She said, worried.
"Mom?" Our boy wonder asked, and both me and Emma looked at him straight away.
"Henry!" We yelled of joy, out loud, at the same time. We rushed to the little boy and hugged him as deeply as we could.
The feeling of his body close to my chest felt so different, it was warmer than a thousand-year-old love.
"My boy, I missed you so much!" I said, leaving kisses drown his forehead in sweetness.
I looked at Emma, proud of our family, and kissed her back, gently.
"Emma?" Someone else called my girlfriend. It was Snow White.
"Oh..." She looked so awkward upon seeing her mom.
"Emma..." They both looked like an iron wall stood between them.
"I know that we've been through a lot. But....I should say this..." She mumbled, as she looked for strength in her husband's piercing blue eyes. "I'm sorry. I let you down by making you think I was a hero. As a mother, I tried to protect you from the darkness, but now I see, you're beautiful because you love the light and the dark in Regina, and I should never be afraid of watching you fall in love with the woman that was like a mother to me, all those years ago, until the tragedy.... Regina, I'm also sorry about Daniel, and keeping you away from Emma." She said, with tears falling from her eyes.
