Story Forty: I'm Letting Go, But I'll Let You Know

"Stop, Patrick! Just fuckin' go!" HABIT yelled, face screwed up with a spectrum of emotions that overwhelmed him. The nurses standing by the doorway of his room moved in; preparing to restrain the agitated boy if they had to. The blonde teenager blinked at the sudden outburst, before shaking his head and outright refusing to leave the room. Sneering, the shorter other leapt forward and shoved Patrick forcefully,

"Why the fuck are you still here?! I could fuckin' kill you-"

"But you won't, HABIT. Stop shouting and sit down." Patrick interrupted, stumbling backwards from the sudden force. HABIT was beyond aggravated at this stage- this was the first time he'd been so aggressive towards Patrick, who was now frowning- concern written on his face and reflecting in his eyes as HABIT quivered in front of him,

"I'm not going to tell you again. Get the fuck out, before I fuckin' make you."

"Make me." Patrick responded defiantly, a sliver of confidence that would most likely be a mistake. He practically regretted the words the minute they left his mouth. Too late now to take them back.

The dark haired other seemed taken aback by the statement for a moment, before his eyes narrowed and he stalked forward.

So did the nurses- but the taller teenager looked to them and shook his head, "Please do not intervene. Just, just wait." He pleaded, as HABIT stomped forward and pinned him to the wall- gritting his teeth. Grabbing Patrick's shirt and keeping him trapped against the wall,

"What's your motive, asshole? I told you to get the fuck out, and you didn't."

"I know you do not mean anything of what you're doing right now." Patrick insisted, before sparks of white flashed behind his eyes as a fist connected with his mouth- causing him to bite his lip. Drawing blood. The pain rendered him completely useless for a few moments as he recovered, a whimper escaping his throat.

"How the fuck do you know?! You don't know anything!" HABIT roared, as the nurses hurriedly moved in to restrain the boy. They didn't really get very far, before Patrick recovered and wriggled his way out of HABIT's vice-like grip, turning and then grabbing HABIT's shirt and pushing him against the wall- just about able to keep the shorter male pinned down. For now.

"I do not know much but I know that your mother loved you. Your mother loved you, for a reason other than that you were her son! She saw the good in you!"

"Shut the fuck up!"

"She loved you, HABIT, and nothing is ever going to change that! Not the fact she's gone- nothing! Be happy- be grateful- that you know that! Because heaven knows I wish I did!" The blonde male shouted in return- tears stinging at his eyes as the aggressive stance HABIT portrayed melted away, and he slid down the wall- tears pouring from his eyes. Patrick fell with him, and wrapped his arms around the other teenager.

The nurses were standing once again by the doorway- fear and confusion evident throughout their expressions as they quietly conversed on what to do. They went to move in- but were stopped politely by two doctors who had heard the commotion from up the hall. The doctors knew better than to intervene, considering HABIT was sobbing and a teenager, another child, was consoling him.

The members of staff left, but the two nurses remained outside the bedroom door; in case another violent outburst occurred.

HABIT trembled as he wept, breathing erratic as he struggled to regain composure," I- I can't-"

"Everything is going to be okay."

"No it won't, Patrick it fuckin' won't-"

"HABIT, I promise you. Everything will be okay." Patrick insisted, shivering himself as he tightly hugged the other male. His lip was busted, blood beginning to collect and form droplets that dripped from the little wound. Fuck, he now knew why HABIT was so feared. The strength he had was terrifying.
