Story Fourty Three: Tree man, Tree man, have you any heart?

Our world is fragile. Our perception of it even more breakable, reinforced by the lack of science advanced enough to thoroughly prove the fact that what we know of our reality is not simply the truth.

We are wrong.

Our reality can alter and shift, due to alternative realities existing alongside the one we are familiar with. If, or when, they collide, strange events and happenings can occur. For example, a creature could rip its way through the thin, permeable walls of our reality and force itself into our timeline, infecting everything it encounters for its own personal gain. A creature so horrific it could hijack the very fabric of our being, alter the synapses in our brains and turn us against those we love most.

STOP THIS NONSENSE, WRITER.

We become husks of who we were, shadow soldiers for the vindictive entity and the objectives it has. Not to mention, the entities it brought with it. Sentinels of suffering. We are mere toys in comparison to these beings- so much more powerful in comparison to us humans, with our most valuable asset being our humanity. We are stepping stones, the faster you realise this- the better your chances are at surviving. Especially if you come across these entities directly.

The blackouts, the blood, the forged or patchy memories- it all adds up. Chances are, during those blackouts, you're doing what they want you to do. This isn't Paranormal-fucking-Activity, where you just stand and watch someone sleep for four hours of your life. No. That's wishful thinking. Don't be naïve.

AUTHOR, WE ARE WARNING YOU.

There isn't much time. The more I tell you, the better. So pay attention. It's a simple equation, really.

They can hack your accounts, they can hurt people you know or love. They will do whatever they have to, or want to. They don't care whether or not you've got a family. The only thing these beings care about is power. They love power. They crave it, that and control.

As with the 'Seven Trials' it's a death wish to get involved. Please, do not get willingly involved with these creatures. Find the people who were born to protect our reality. They are there. You can track them down. Do enough research, you'll know if you're getting close of the entities spam you with infuriated messages or keep hacking your account.

I'd start with researching Fairmount. You'll know what I'm talking about when you find it.

On another note, as well as the entities and creatures, there are objects that are not of our reality that exist in everyday life. The ones I personally am aware of at this point are a journal, a knife, a handmade weapon named 'The North Star' and the various symbols you'll come across. The Severance rune being a main one.

They seem to stand for something ominous or dangerous most of the time. Be wary.

Be very cautious around static, also. From personal experience, it's an indicator that the Faceless Man is about to jump you. If your head begins to become hazy and your vision becomes blurred- nosebleeds, coughing blood, symptoms like that? Run.

Run like your life depends on it, because I can promise you, it does.

Another note, these entities are ruthless. Don't think you're hiding from them, because you probably aren't and they're laughing at how stupid you sound. There is no hiding, not when they can physically warp your reality to merge with theirs. They can send you to their realm and kick you out again. You can end up from New Jersey to Florida and back again in the space of thirty minutes. Nowhere is safe, nowhere but where protective measures have been taken. For example, Scrii's home. They can't get into that building, the only entity who can is Firebrand.

Firebrand is the only entity who likely won't try to tear you limb from limb or force you to join the Faceless Man's government of shadows. He will help you.

I mean, you can try to Supernatural TV stuff with the salt and shit, but I don't know if it would work. Please, if you try it, let me know the results!

Safety in numbers alongside this information- don't try to tackle this stuff on your own, because you will, shockingly, find out that it's a terrible idea.

If you've watched horror movies or played horror games- you know being solo is a bad idea.

STOP WITH THIS USELESS KNOWLEDGE. DO YOU SERIOUSLY THINK IT WILL HELP THEM IN THE LONG RUN? DON'T BE CHILDISH.

Be extremely cautious of people who cross your path claiming to be able to help or know information. Many of the entities that cross into our reality choose human vessels, as it makes it much easier for them to communicate, lure, trap or kill us.

So be wary, and don't talk to strangers, kids.

Like I said, there isn't much time left for me to be able to tell you these things, so summed up generally;

Keep your wits about you, don't trust strangers, be careful around static and any symptoms you experience, do your research and take safety measures.

You should be okay.

But heaven help you if HABIT catches you.
