What else could he possibly want? Firebrand could feel the rage bubbling away inside of his chest as the irking entity continued gnawing on his nerves with comments and jeers. Well, he'd just about had it with The Observer and his antics.
Gritting his teeth, the scarred man stood abruptly to his feet, and turned on his heel to journey away from The Observer. If he didn't, Firebrand knew he'd lash out and that was probably what Observer wanted. For being perhaps one of the most terrifying members of The Collective, he possessed a pathetically childish personality.
The grinning entity raised an eyebrow in mock question, "Leaving my company so soon, Firebrand?"
"Anyone in the right mind would be long gone." Firebrand replied coldly, earning a delighted chuckle from The Observer. Did that guy literally have anything else to do with his time? The Collective member rolled his eyes, before suddenly stopping in his tracks as the next words that fell from Observer's mouth reached his ears,
"You've got no patience! No wonder Noah ends up like you. Or rather, being you!"
Now, this wasn't the first time The Observer had made a jab like that. He was so sure it would send Firebrand flying off of the handle, hence why he was such a predator. Eating away at your insecurities and turning them into an armoury of weapons right at his disposal, to break you down and bring you to your knees.
Firebrand took a breath before gradually exhaling in a futile attempt to calm himself. Turning to face the smirking entity, he started towards him in a cool manner. Quite like how one would greet a friend. The Observer tilted his head slightly,
"You're not mad like you used to be. Gone soft, have you-"
Firebrand cut his sentence short by grabbing him by the throat and throwing a powerful fist to The Observer's face, feeling quite a bit tamer once it connected with a sickening, yet satisfying, crunch. Eyes narrowing, Firebrand sneered before speaking, "You disgust me, Observer. Unlike you, I actually have things to do that don't include annoying people and quite frankly, you're being a little bitch about it too." He retorted in an irritated tone. The fury that was in his eyes was now being repressed as he let go of The Observer's throat, which he had been grasping quite tightly.
The Observer wheezed as he was dropped, clutching his nose as dark blood trickled out. Letting out a cough at the sandpaper-like feeling of his throat readjusting to the sudden freedom, he gave a laugh that came across as strained, "You surprise me sometimes. Sometimes you punch like a little bitch," He started, a grin plastered onto his mouth once more," And sometimes you punch like you know what you're doing."
"Keep talking and you'll feel a lot worse than you do now." The scarred male growled in response, turning on his heel to walk off.
They were both currently in The Collective's personal realm. Firebrand hated this place with a burning passion. The way everything looped continuously like a sick game, and how it was only the boardwalk. Not even the whole of it, only the little part of it near the tower. You might as well refuse walking, because you'd end up there anyway. It was a joke.
The dark haired entity ignored the Observer and his next words, partially due to the fact that he was grating his nerves again, and partially due to the fact that his thoughts drowned them out. He wouldn't have to spend too long in this place, sooner rather than later, a loathsome and truly evil being was going to break him out. Almost as easily as kicking down a door. Well, in HABIT'S case, kicking down doors seemed to be something he did often.
Don't get him wrong, Firebrand was not fond of HABIT. The male, quite literally, caused all sorts of trouble yet at the same time, assisted Noah. Not in an ideal and patient way, granted, but he assisted him nonetheless, and was about to assist him again. That was the catch, however. HABIT would either only do things for others if it helped him in the long run, or he was bored. Thankfully, Firebrand didn't really need to convince HABIT on this one.
They both wanted the same thing, and they were going to get it one way or another.
Stopping as he collected his thoughts, the damaged entity took a breath and turned to face The Observer once more. The look that graced his features was more solemn than it had been. Kevin was not even aware of what was happening. He was just blacking out and then waking up, completely taken off guard and confused. The Observer was using him as a vessel, so of course he wouldn't understand. Now look at him. The Administrator's right hand man.
"Why so sad, Brandy?"
"Don't call me that." Firebrand snapped, the solemn expression leaving his features almost as rapidly as it got there. The grinning being snickered as he wiped the remaining blood from his nose,
"That was surprisingly painful. Not overly so, but surprising nonetheless."
"I don't care. You were being a bitch and you deserved it."
"That might be so, friend." The Observer sighed, mocking Firebrand's previous sincere expression, which earned an annoyed sigh from the scarred Noah,
"Look, I know you think you're really funny with all of these mind games, but you're really just infuriating."
"And, you fall for it every time. It's like kicking Bambi, I almost feel bad!" He cackled, "You're cute when you're mad!"
"Fuck off!" Firebrand retorted, folding his arms across his chest and leaning against the wall of the bottom of the tower. The Observer smiled, faking an innocent expression,
"Then why are you still here?" He questioned. The scarred entity had to double take on that query. Why was he still here? Well, there was nowhere for him to go, The Observer would just follow him anyway. It was fruitless even trying to get away from him,
"There's nowhere else for me to go, dumbass." He replied. The glasses-dawning Collective member shrugged and nodded in response,
"Fair enough, I suppose. I've got stuff to do, catch up with you later?" He questioned, to which Firebrand scoffed,
"Fuck off." He replied, for the second time. The Observer giggled,
"Watch your profanity, Brandy."
"Don't call me that!" Firebrand hissed, fuming once more. The Observer laughed and ran off, leaving the realm to probably torment Noah again.
The soon-to-be rogue god heaved a sigh and pushed himself off of the wall. He had to prepare to be pulled from The Collective, after all. Who knows when HABIT would show up?
