"We're definitely doing this then?" Jinyoung sat on his bed next to Jackson, both boys nervously passing looks of uncertainty between them before Jackson looked at his phone screen, lingering his thumb over the 'send' button to reach out to Mia - pretending to be Jaebum.
"You know once you send that message, there's no going back. I'm not trying to talk you out of it...I'm just saying." Jinyoung hummed quietly, but the only sound that Jackson could hear was the heavy drum of his heartbeat, pounding in his ears. He wished with all his being that none of this ever happened - Jaebum's cheating, your accident, the memory loss...all of it was causing a rift in his soul that he feared he would rip apart at any second.
"Jinyoung..." he paused momentarily, directing his gaze into his friends eyes as he thought about the possibility of you knowing that Jaebum had been cheating on you all along, and then completely losing all your memory of it. "I have to do this. I want to do this. I need to do this. Jaebum has hurt (Y/N) in ways that you or I couldn't possibly imagine and this type of revenge...it's a dish best served cold. I love Jaebum - and I always will, but he needs to pay for what he has done; one way or another." And with that, Jackson pressed send - both of their hearts in their throats as they desperately waited to see if Mia would reply.
"If she does reply, make sure you type like Jaebum does. Oh - and if she agrees to meet, tell her to wear the red dress, that way we can know who she is when she comes in" Jinyoung crossed his legs as he glanced back and forth between the phone screen and the clock on his bedside table.
"....have you done this type of thing before by any chance?!" Jackson looked at him seriously as he internally highly commended Jinyoung for thinking of the most important things to do when impersonating someone - causing a moment of slight laughter between them both; something that had been few and far between in the midst of the woes they shared. Before they knew it, Jacksons phone received a text message - a reply from Mia. Jackson and Jinyoung both swallowed the lumps in their throats upon seeing her reply, before Jackson took a deep breath, and continued his set up conversation with a woman who along with Jaebum, he dubbed as 'home wreckers'.
