Cookies And Milk

After about two hours of talking, everyone was becoming pretty tired and exhausted as well as parched.

"I think we can take a break now." The large octopus muttered, rubbing his single eye as sleep once again tugged at him.

"Nighty!" A high pitched voice called out as a skeleton wearing all white flew in the room, giggling happily. "We're finished making the cookies and cakes!"

Instantly, everyone looked over at Cross, their eyes going wide as his magic carried most of the trays of food.

There were all sorts of sweets on the plates. They went from something as simple as a Chocolate Chip cookie to something as complex as a Baked Alaska cake that was neatly cut into even pieces!

And the smell that the food gave off was to die for! Trust me when I say, that every single one of them wanted to just jump up and grab a whole tray and wolf it down! Yet, one look from Nightmare stopped that from happening.

"I see you kept it light this time around, Snowflake." The large monster laughed out, his lips pulling into an unfamiliar smile.

At his words, everyone's mouths dropped! That was light! Cross practically made enough sweets to feed all the other AUs for at least a whole year!

The innocent skeleton blushed a purple color as he giggled sweetly, guiding his magic to carefully put the trays down. They made a small clatter, but nothing that anyone really noticed as they waited for the Dark Lord's approval.

"Crosser, I told ya to wait for me." The eyeless murderer hissed softly as he held a tray in each hand. One tray held four pitchers with water, red wine, sparkling grape water, and some milk as a drink to wash down the food. The other tray held the cups and spare plates with some forks.

With more experienced magic, the cups, plates, forks and pitchers were placed on the table with a quiet knock on the wooden table.

Once that was done, the white clad skeleton zipped over to the large, gooey monster, happily sitting in his lap as he cuddled into the King's chest.

Once again, the room held its breath as though waiting for the Dark Sans to shove the smaller one off or to yell or anything he used to do to the innocent monster! But yet again, he did nothing like that, just smiling softly, having his lower two tentacles wrapping firmly around the smaller's waist, securing him to the larger skeleton's body.

"What are all of you waiting for? There's enough to feed all of the AUs." Nightmare rolled his eye at everyone, grabbing a few of his favorite sweets that his little Snowflake made.

At his words, it sort of was like a scramble to try and get some of the sweet food for themselves. And to say that they were surprised when it tasted like freaking heaven was an understatement! The food was absolutely the best any of them had! It was absolutely the one thing that quickly restored the energy and they still had more room to fill with the God given food!

"God damn, Cross! This is the best!" Red called, taking a large gulp of his wine.

"RED! LANGUAGE!" The blue wearing Star Sans hissed, glaring at his comrade for the foul language.

The edgy skeleton just shrugged, eating the unhealthy food. Honestly, it was the first thing he had eaten in like nearly a whole month. He was actually starving!

The innocent skeleton tilted his head, confused on the language. He had heard Killer scream it from his room late at night sometimes, but he never really had the courage to ask what that mean...

"Nighty, what does that mean?"

The one eyed monster raised an eyebrow, silently requesting the other to explain.

"What, Mr. Edgy said... 'God damn'? What does that mean?"

Everyone went silent as Nightmare calmly finished his food.

"A bad word, so don't say it." He briefly stated, lightly patting the younger on the head.

Cross gave a small purr as he nodded, snuggling back into the taller's chest once more.

All of the others were giving the King odd looks, they had never seen this side of him... The caring and kind side, the side that could actually love! The side that he could make him weak.

Nightmare looked at the others, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes? May I help you with something?" He hissed, a silent warning to all of them.

"Let's just enjoy Cross's amazing baking! It's the best that I've ever had!" The Creator called out, his eyes zooming around with a silent plea.

Of course, the food was good, so no one was complaining... Plus, it was best not to upset the King of Fear, who held that look... The look that said not even Reaper was safe from his wrath shall anyone say a word. It was bad.
