Nightmare felt something forcibly squirm in his arms, making him grunt with disapproval. He knew it was Cross, who most likely wanted to make breakfast since the Good Sanses were coming over, but he wanted to sleep in just a little longer.
The King pulled the other closer to him, nuzzling the top of his head. He wanted the smaller to stop moving so much. He expected him to relax and go back to sleep or whine about the time.
What he didn't expect was to be harshly shoved out of his bed!
He harshly fell to the floor with a grunt, but he didn't bother staying down for long, as he lifted himself up.
Snarling at him was the person he knew well... Or the person he thought he knew well... The person that had been gone for a while, a person that was the outcome of so many horrible things...
It was the real Cross, the Cross that would kill just for the fun of it... The tainted one.
"You bastard." He hissed, jumping out of the bed, those enraged eyes seering into the proud King's mind.
Those were the only words to have left the white wearing monster's mouth before he stormed out.
It didn't take long for those two words to be registered in his mind, for him to know what the other was talking about. Nor did it take him long to hurry after the other.
"Cross, wait, please!" The large brute called, pulling the smaller back. He had to talk with them, he couldn't lose them!
"What!" They snarled, their eyes naturally turning into X's, but they both knew it wasn't Chara who was doing that. "What do you want to take from me next, Nightmare?" The name was like acid on Cross's tongue, he hated it.
Those questions made the most feared being freeze, unable to answer them for a moment. A moment that the tainted soul took to walk away once again.
The King of Fear, looked towards the retreating figure of the person he loved, of the person he couldn't find himself living without... The person he just had to hold!
"Cross, please!" He called out, his voice softening, his large aggressive form wavering as he ran to the other. "Please don't leave me! Please! I don't want you to go!" A smaller version of Nightmare cried out, swiftly cling to the white clad skeleton's waist. Tears in the brute's eyes were wetting the white tanktop the other was wearing.
The Codebreaker growled, swiftly turning around, slamming his fist into the other's skull.
"You sick perverted bastard!" He shouted, slamming his foot into the fallen Guardian's ribs. "You think I would want to stay with a manipulating freak of nature like you!" Another kick was sent into the wheezing monster. "You abused me for fucking years! You punished me for small things, while letting everyone else get away with worse!" Another kick.
The tainted soul growled lowly, turning to continue walking, but once again he was stopped by his old boss. The tears were now wetting his bones, the hold that the now smaller being had was weak and pitiful.
"P-Please... I-I'm sor-sorry... Pl-Please do-don't le-lea-leave me..."
Cross hissed at the contact, shoving the smaller away, glaring harshly at the small, feeble form.
"You're sorry? Oh, now you're sorry! Sorry doesn't make up for all the years of you forcing me to fear myself, to fear sleeping! Sorry doesn't take back all the bruises and scars you made because I just wanted to be near you!" He took a bold step forward, prepared to do his worst. He was so prepared to see the old Nightmare, the coldhearted and cruel Nightmare... that he didn't expect to see true tears falling from his lavender eyes.
"I-I kn-know..." He hiccupped, those lavender eyes so sad, so guilty... So lonely... "Bu-But... Pl-Please..." He sounded so pathetic. "Ple-Plea-Please... Do-Don't lea-leave me..." The tears fell faster as quiet sobs left the once invincible guardian's mouth. "Pl-Please... I-I don't ca-care i-if you hu-hurt me... I-I don't ca-care if yo-you b-break m-my bones... Bu-But I do-don't wan-want you to le-leave me... Pl-Please..."
That anger, that rage... It couldn't stay... Not when he still loved Nightmare... Not when that idiot showed he could care, that he did care for someone else! That he cared for Cross of all people!
It couldn't stay, not when all the good memories surfaced like a tidal wave, all of them gentle and nice... Peaceful. Of course, that made him want to hate the being in front of him more.
It took him loosing his memories for the King of Fear to care for him. It took him forgetting everything for him to show his love!
"You don't have a right to be called King, you're so weak and pathetic." The once loyal servant hissed, using his foot to harshly push the other down. Nightmare didn't fight it, he only winced and stared at the other. "You're so fucking useless, using others to get the job done. What did I ever see in you?"
Those words and insults stung, but... The monster took them, took them and held them close. He deserved this, he deserved every last thing for what he had done.
Cross put more pressure to his foot, snapping a rib or two, forcing a sharp cry of pain from the once ruthless being.
Oh, how the white wearing skeleton could've gone further than that~ But, that stupid part of him, the part that still loved the one below him, it wouldn't let him!
Removing his foot, he yanked the old King up by the collar of his tunic. Then, he roughly dragged the monster back to his room.
"I'm going to show you everything that I feel about you, now, before and after."
The fearsome monster was confused. Now, before, after? What did that mean?
He didn't have time to think or really do anything as his old outfit was literally ripped off his body!
A loud squeak escaped him as he idiotically jumped up a bit, making him moan out in pain as the cracked ribs forced him to stay down.
Cross felt his mouth twitch into a smirk. The squeak was rather adorable and the moan, even though it was out of pain, did turn him on a bit.
Roughly, his slim hands took hold of the smaller's cracked ribs. This earned him a groan of pain, but the other didn't make a move to stop him.
Yes, NM didn't know what his once sweet Cross was going to do to him, but... he won't fight against it. He deserves it.
He deserves all of it.
