After confirming it was Shay the two lawyers had a side conversation.I couldn't hear because they were whispering.Then they stared at me for sometime.
Is there something on my face?
"There's a catch." The lawyer said sipping on his coffee
What does he mean a catch? I should pour that coffee down his shirt.
"What's the catch?" I propped my hands on the table
There's always a catch.Nothing can go right for me.To be fair I'm competent with getting some time off my sentence and getting justice for myself.
"Once we get her to court and find out her sentencing, she'll be sent over to this jail.She will most likely have as much—"
"How is it possible that she'll get sent here?" I questioned, what kind of nonsense is this?
"All we know is that she's not permitted to go to any other jail in the county.She's got other records under her belt."
"Bullshit." I mumbled frustrated with the news
"Watch your mouth 182."
I couldn't believe that after all this I was getting more trouble.
"Don't be so down Westbrooks," the female lawyer said " You got six years off your sentence."
I gave her a fake smile "Six years."
