Twenty Three

To celebrate New Years I've given you all a very long chapter, I really hope you enjoy it.

"What?" Sarah asks shocked.
"He told me before he left, I didn't know what to say I just went back to my room and left him standing there, the next thing I knew was he drove out" she says her eyes filled up with tears.

"So you're hurt finding out about this?" Sarah asks her.

"No I'm just shocked but I get it, it's in the past and if the Bashir could forgive him and move on who the hell am I to judge him?"

"Then why are you feeling sentimental?" Sarah asks keeping her phone beside her.

"He told me something huge about his life which is now part of mineas well and here I am hiding things in my closet and planning a vengeance plan, for god sake I was part of the people who covered the whole thing up".

"OMG!! Are you serious?"
"Yeah we covered everything up, we didn't want eyes on us"

"Okay then. Why not talk to him when he gets back?"
"You're right I will" She says back wiping away her tears.

Salis sat down shaking his legs rapidly waiting for his guest.
She barges into the office and he gets up abruptly.

"Kauthar what are you doing here?" He asks.
"Look I don't have time for this nonsense. Tell me is it true about Fuad being Fuad's son?" She asks looking scared.

"Did you hear what you just said? It makes no sense"
"You know what I mean. And you can't say you didn't know about it".

"Frankly, I did but it's his secret and if he didn't want anyone to know then that's what I did, keep it a secret. By the way he's my brother I do what he tells me"

"But why?"
"I can't explain anything to you, I'm not Fuad and it's not your problem, all you do is pry into people's lives to have fun. We released the sex tape with you and that's it, nothing else so please stop acting like you're a part of it"

"Salis?" Rumaisa calls from behind him.

"You did what? Salis? you were the one?" Kauthar says crying out loud.

He looks at her disbelievingly.
"Rumaisa what the hell are you doing here?" He asks.

"I told you I was coming" she says still shocked.
"I can't take this" Kauthar walks out crying.

"So.....you really did it, not Fuad?" She asks.
"And if I did?"

"Excuse me? And if you did? Does it seem like I'm letting this go, cause if it is you should know right now that I'm sure as hell not going to"

"And I don't care"
"What if Fuad finds out? What are you going to tell him?"

"He'll just know how much I hate seeing him with a skank and I know Fuad he'll forgive me eventually"

"And you're also scared. You look scared, you know he's going to be furious"
"Yeah but that's the price"

"Did Hadiza have anything to do with this?"
"Hadiza isn't the bad person you're painting her out to be and even if she did I wouldn't tell you"

"Oh you wouldn't?"
"But I'll tell you who did"
"Who?"

"Someone very close to you, someone who knows your ups and downs. In fact if I were you I'd give up on Fuad immediately, alright?"

"Salis who?" She asks again slightly irritated.

He stays quiet.
"I heard Hajarah was admitted yesterday and she insists on going back to her paternal home. You ruin someone's marriage and yours is ruined too. Karma's a bitch" she says before she walks out slamming the door.

He falls on his chair and sighs in exasperation.

As she walked down the stairs she got more scared, thinking of her mistakes and her end. Her stupid plan to have revenge would eventually be her doom, she knows it. There was no way she'd go away scot free. Like they say 'everyday is for the thief one day is for the owner: what is hidden will always come out'.

Rumaisa sat there staring at the clock.
It's been three days and Fuad still isn't back yet, she tried his number multiple times but he wasn't answering, she was scared.
What if she lost him?
