Y'all know where I would run to. I have to name my rock. Maybe I would call it 'Comfort zone'? No that's too lame. 'Rockie?' I think that would do. My mind kept running until I spot a figure sitting on my Rockie. He was bent over like he was counting something on the floor. No, I think he was staring at something. Maybe a piece of paper.

Instincts would have me flare and confront him but something odd held me back. I took quiet steps back and hid behind a nearby tree. I wanted to see what he was so bent on looking on the floor. I figured it was some kind of picture. I took the hint that he looked sad and went back to the main road. I would only lend him Rockie today.

Not wanting to go home, I walked the opposite way. I didn't want to face Granny and mom after what I had said.

**********************************************

On a Thursday, after school, I decided to attend to the force pulling me. Oh, I haven't told you about it. Something like a force has been pulling me. At first, it was like a tug but it started dragging me with so much energy. I have been neglecting it but now it's past time I checked it out.

Outside of school, I waited for the pull. About some minutes later, I felt it. It was like an angry kid was forcefully tugging at me to go buy him sweets. I allowed the force pull me. I wanted to know what it was.
After about 10 minutes or so, I realized I was walking to where my Rockie is.

"So you pull me to you when you miss me?" I murmured.

Was that even possible? Well, if mom and Granny thinks I have some weird power, then, I have the right to think my Rockie has some powers too. Maybe I'm the one missing it and I allowed myself think something pulled me. No, I felt the force. It was more than my imagination.

I stopped on my track when I saw that same figure on my Rockie. This time he sat comfortably and was even resting on my tree trunk!
Instincts kicked me and took control as I charged towards him.

"Hey you! Get up now!" Jealousy and anger rushed through my blood.

I dashed towards him with my index finger pointed up at him.
He looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"You are sitting on Rockie! It's mine. My spot!" I shouted frantically.

"And what makes a rock yours?"

His voice is a deep baritone. One that makes you feel like a lump is in your throat when you hear it. It was a little husky too. Altogether it was too nice for a rock thief. His voice had taken me by surprise. I took a step back and regained composure.

"I have my name on the tree trunk"

I pointed to the tree. Now, I know I'm sounding stupid. I just can't help it.
He turned back to look at it, mouthed my name and burst into laughter.

"What's funny?" I knew I was funny. It's not something new.

He stopped laughing and adjusted his gaze to meet mine and I felt it...

It was just a small spark at first, then it was something else. Like my inside was burning. Someone set a flame in the pit of my stomach. I can feel the burn even in the tips of my toes. The expression he had made me know it wasn't one-sided. He's feeling it too.

So Granny and mom hadn't been lying. They are not insane. I took several steps before running back home. I'm burning.

"Amelia... " I heard him say as I ran out of the woods.
              I just found my Soulmate...
