On the other side of the door Merlin took a breath and exhaled loudly in despair.

"You lied?" Merlin's heart practically crumbled at the sight of R standing off to the side of the door with a look of betrayal on his face.

"No, wait," Merlin tried to call out after him, "Let me explain!"

"No," R growled, "I'm done."

"You don't understand," Merlin cried out in desperation, "You really are-"

"The lost prince of Camelot, Arthur Pendragon?" R spat viciously as he whirled around to meet Merlin's gaze. Merlin's heart fell as he noticed that Arthur and Morgana had the same eyes when they got angry. Both cold and both unable to reason with.

"Please, Arthur," Merlin spoke before he could catch himself. Both his and R's eyes widened at the name that had slipped out of Merlin's mouth.

R's features grew cold and taut, "I'm not Arthur," He growled. "Don't let me see your face again, because if I do..."

Then he was gone and Merlin was left standing in the hallway all alone.

This is what he wanted, isn't it? For Arthur to leave Camelot, for his dark secret to be safe.

No, he didn't want that. Not anymore.

Merlin, not wanting to go back to Gaius' and face everyone, decided to take a walk in the woods.

Merlin hadn't been walking long when he suddenly heard a noise on the other side of the brush of to his right. Curious as to what it could be Merlin quietly walked over and peered through the bushes.

Merlin was surprised to find the Lady Morgana on the other side. Even more surprising, she seemed to be chanting something. Then, without warning, a fire sprung up in front of her. Merlin jumped back in surprise. When he jumped he ended up landing on a twig the cracked under his footing.

The noise drew Morgana's attention as she whipped around to face Merlin.

"You have magic," Merlin stated in disbelief. The look on Morgana's face morphed into one of pure terror. She seemed frozen in place with eyes as wide as dinner plates.

Morgana's look of horror turned into one of determination as she raised her hands most likely to erase his memories of the encounter.

"Wait," Merlin raised his hands, ready to defend himself. With her attention now on him Merlin held his palm skyward and muttered a small incantation. His eyes glowed gold as a misty image of a butterfly floated out of his hands.

Morgana dropped her hands and stared at him with a look of pure bewilderment. "You too?"

Merlin nodded, hands still held out in front of him in surrender. With magical revelations aside Merlin thought this the best time to explain everything to Morgana.

He told her about how he and Gwaine had planned to find themselves a fake Arthur. Then how he had stumbled upon a lost and confuse R who had just been looking for a home. He went on to tell her about how R had remembered the white spot on Honey without them telling him. Finally finishing with R's story on how he escaped the fire and how Merlin had been the one to save him.

Morgana, not having said anything through Merlin's whole explanation suddenly stood up and crossed the distance to Merlin. At first he thought she might try and blow him to smithereens. Instead she took him in her arms and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you," She whispered, "For saving him and bringing him home."

"You're welcome," He said.

"Where is Arthur now," Morgana asked as she pulled away.

"Oh no," Merlin said, "He and I had a fight. I don't think he's here anymore."

"No," Morgana said disbelieving and defiant, "He has to still be here. I can't lose him again."

"It's alright, we'll find him Morgana," Merlin promised her. First they checked back at Gaius' but they hadn't seen him. After that they decided to check back at Merlin's house in case Arthur went back there to collect his things. When they got there they found the front door open and a shuffling sounding from inside.

"Let's go," Merlin said, going to storm into the house.

"No," Morgana said, putting a hand in front of Merlin to stop him. "Let me go, alone."

Merlin hesitated before nodding his ok. Morgana sighed with relief before entering the house, closing the door behind her.
