EXO’s Kai and BLACKPINK’s Jennie confirmed to be dating

Lisa shuts her phone and tosses it on her bed angrily. A million thoughts run through her brain, but at the same time she shuts them out. The only sound in her room is the beating of her heart.

“Lisa-ya? You wanna head somewhere, grab a bite?” Chaeyoung calls out from outside. The door opens, revealing the second-youngest member of the biggest girl group of this generation. When she sees Lisa’s situation, she sighs. “You’ve heard the news, haven’t you?”

The maknae scoffs. “Who hasn’t?” She sits herself up and frowns. “I just didn’t expect it, that’s all.”

Chaeyoung doesn’t believe her one bit. She knows. She knows how hard Lisa fell for Jennie. She isn’t taking any sides, but she feels annoyed at Jennie because of how selfish she is. She knows that Lisa has feelings for her, but still she leads her on. And not to mention, YG doesn’t allow dating. What would he make of this? Would he disband BLACKPINK? Before they debuted, they had a member kicked out because of this. What was Jennie even thinking?

“Tell you what, let’s have manager-oppa take us somewhere so we can talk... privately?” Chaeyoung suggests, sitting beside Lisa and rubbing her back comfortingly. “Lalisa, keeping it in won’t do you any good.”

“There’s nothing to talk about, Chaeng,” the maknae says, defeated. “I’m just really, really tired of everything.”

Jisoo needs to know about this. They both know how Lisa is when she’s sad. The door opens abruptly. “Lisa, do you have any— oh, I’m sorry for interrupting.” Jennie is standing at the door.

Lisa stands up. “What do you need?” There’s something wrong with her voice. It doesn’t sound like her.

“I was going to ask if you had any red lipstick,” the older girl says. “I need to head out somewhere.”

Kai is the first person that goes through Chaeyoung’s head. But before she could say anything, Lisa speaks. “No,” she replies flatly, and proceeds to put on some sneakers.

“Are you heading out too?” Jennie asks.

Chaeyoung shrugs. “Yeah, Manoban wanted to go somewhere quiet, and I don’t wanna leave her on her own.”

Total silence. Jennie must have picked up the weird vibe from the maknae, because she walks toward her and puts a hand on her shoulder. “Are you okay?”

Jennie’s eyes exude concern, but Lisa no longer finds it comforting. How can she, when she knows now that she will never be anything more than a group member to the person she loves the most. She feels sick to the stomach. She takes a few steps away and clenches her jaw.

“I am.”

“You don’t look or sound okay, Lisa. What’s wrong?”

“I’m fine, Jennie.”

“Tell me.”

“Please don’t do this.”

"Are you mad about something?"

"Why can't you drop it? Just stop."

“Why do I get the feeling that you’re like this because of me?”

Lisa lets out a deep breath. “You are so goddamn selfish.”

“Excuse me?”

“Why didn’t you tell me that you were dating Kim Jongin since November? You had so many opportunities to, Jennie. Jesus fuck, you kissed me on Christmas and you acted like it never happened! It just baffles me how you’re okay with all this happening. What were you thinking? Were you aware that our company bans dating? How much more that he’s in another entertainment! While you’re happy and in love, our group is in danger of disbanding. So... yeah, you’re fucking selfish.”
