Jennie's P.O.V.

Talking to Irene was one of the most freeing moments of this tour. After knowing that I wasn't alone in this, it made me feel so much better, and like my feelings were valid.

I would've never expected Irene to swing that way. I mean, I should've seen the signs. She never interacts with male idols unless necessary. She even brushes dating rumors off with men like it's nothing.

Now that I think of it, Irene and Seulgi complement each other so well.

It came as a shock, but I remember being so happy for her and asking her a million questions. She was more than happy to answer. She told me that they've been in a relationship for almost three years now, and they're still going strong. Seulgi never fails to make her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. As she kept telling me about her wonderful relationship, I couldn't help but be a bit sad.

I wish I had that kind of love.

We were nearing the end of our tour. Once it's over, we're back to reality. The hectic schedule gives me an excuse not to dwell on negative things, and instead, I'm looking forward to try to fix every single mistake that I've done to hurt my friends.

The sight of Lisa never fails to make me happy or lift my spirits up. But I've noticed that lately she's been looking really exhausted, even after a full day of rest. She's barely eating full meals or going out of her hotel room unless there's something important to attend to.

And it worries me.

That's why I'm standing in front of her hotel room, knocking softly, somehow nervous.

For a few seconds, there's only silence, and I wonder if she's asleep, but then I hear shuffling of feet from inside and my heart suddenly leaps from my chest.

Jesus, Jennie. Calm down.

The door opens tentatively, and Lisa's head pops out. "Jennie? What are you doing here? It's getting late."

"I... wanted to check in on you." I wanted to see you. "You haven't been looking alright lately. Are you feeling unwell?"

The dark circles on her eyes are now more prominent than ever, and she looks thinner. She opens the door fully, revealing that she's wearing a large white shirt and some shorts. She's probably getting ready to sleep.

"I'm good," she replies, but her voice betrays her. "Just... not getting enough sleep."

I press the back of my hand against her forehead, and my eyes widen. "Jesus, Lisa. You're running a fever. Have you taken any medication?" I ask, trying not to worry even more.

She scratches the back of her neck, shaking her head. "Haven't got the time. I thought it was going to go away, but..." she chuckles, shrugging.

"Why didn't you say anything? I could've bought you medicine, or something."

"I didn't want to worry you, and I'd be too much of a burden," she replies, biting her bottom lip.

"Let me take care of you, okay?" I say, looking into her eyes. My chest aches. God, Lisa. You're so beautiful. "And... I..."

She raises an eyebrow. "You what?"

I sigh.

"You'll never be a burden to me, Lisa. Don't ever think that."

She stays silent, probably wondering what to say to that. My face heats up. I don't think twice, and I push her back to her room, making her lie down on the bed. She's still silent, and I wonder if I made her uncomfortable.
