Lisa's P.O.V.
As soon as we arrive at the restaurant Jennie is at, Chaeng talks to a waitress, who seems to be starstruck. It's not everyday you get to see BLACKPINK in the place you're working in.
The waitress gives us a cautious look, as if to tell us something. I don't read into it too much.
She leads us to the VIP rooms, and opens the door. We enter the room slowly, taking in the state of the place.
Jesus Christ.
What happened here?
Glass shards are on the floor, the wine glasses are knocked down, crimson red liquid running down the table to the floor. It's a fucking mess. Chaeyeong, Jisoo unnie and I look at each other with alarmed expressions.
Jennie.
I look around frantically, searching for signs of her.
I finally spot her, she's sitting in the corner, burying her face in her hands, quietly sobbing.
I run towards her.
I don't care if we fought, I don't care if we said some harsh words to each other. The sight of her like that breaks my heart. I wish I could just walk away, and wait outside. It would've hurt less.
But it's her.
Who am I to run away from her?
"Jennie."
I kneel in front of her, and she looks up. Even with her makeup smudged, she still looks pretty. She always does.
What the fuck did Jongin even do to her? That asshole just left her here? He's gonna pay for this.
There's no other reason why Jennie is like this. It's his fault. We're in the middle of a tour and he just comes in to distract her? It's no surprise thay things were a disaster.
But what exactly happened here?
Focus, Lisa.
"Lisa? You're here." She looks like she doesn't believe that it's me. She searches for my face, and when she confirms that it really is me, her expression turns into something that I can't quite read.
"Jennie, are you okay?"
"Lisa," she says, her eyes brimming with tears. "I'm so so sorry for what I said and—"
I quickly wipe a tear falling on her cheek, caressing the spot with my thumb. "Shh. It's okay. We're okay." I give her a warm smile and hope that it'll help her feel better. She shakes her head and opens her mouth, but I speak up before she does. "Jen, I promise you. We're going to be okay."
We look at each other, hoping our eyes can relay what our words can't. I don't want this fight to come between us. I hope it hasn't. Our relationship's been shaking for a while now, but I'm hoping that we can soon put this bullshit behind us.
Chaeyeong and Jisoo unnie join us, and they shoot a hundred questions a minute. Jennie looks like a deer in headlights. She doesn't know what to say.
"Stop!" I say, turning to the other two. "She needs to get to the hotel, right now. Please... just get a cab or something. I'll accompany her downstairs."
Chaeyeong looks at me with concern. "Are you sure both of you will be fine?" I nod at her. I see where her worries are coming from. But this is a situation where pride needs to be put aside. "Alright. I'll call your phone once I get a cab. Jisoo unnie, come with me."
The eldest pats Jennie's shoulder for a brief moment before following Chaeng. They both close the door behind them, leaving Jennie and I in silence.
