"Damn, and she pretended like nothing happened the next day?" Jisoo asks, resting her chin on her hand that's perched up on the table.
Lisa nods. "Yeah, and I just assumed that she was drunk that night," she replies, sipping on her strawberry lemonade drink. She stares at the two girls sitting in front of her. "Now, can we finally change the topic?"
Chaeyoung frowns. If Lisa's going to keep being mad at Jennie, it's going to affect the group chemistry greatly. Yang Min Suk, the CEO of YG entertainment would notice, and he would definitely find out what happened. The worst that could happen is that one of them would get kicked out of the group.
"Lisa..." Chaeyoung says, her voice laced with worry, and her eyebrows knit together tightly. "No one, and I mean no one else other than the four of us can know about what happened."
The eldest agreed. "She's right, Lis. You can't risk telling anyone. As long as CEO-nim doesn't know, you'll be fine. And absolutely, under no circumstances must the public know." Jisoo is hardly serious like this, so Lisa knows to listen carefully. After all, they were just looking out for her. "If something like this gets out..."
Jisoo doesn't have to finish for the other two to understand what she means. They were in Korea, for god's sake. Lisa would receive terrible backlash.
This was one of the reasons why it sucked to be an idol. Especially because Lisa's a foreigner. The K-Netizens wouldn't like it very much.
"So, what happens now?" Chaeyoung asks, looking at two of her group members.
"We forget that any of this happened," Lisa mumbles. "It was really embarrassing... Jesus. I thought things were going so well!"
Jisoo rolls her eyes. "You can't just pretend that Jennie doesn't exist, can you?" The eldest calls the waiter, and asks for the bill. "The two of you need to resolve whatever bad blood you have. You can't just be passive about this."
Lisa shouldn't have kissed Jennie that night. What the hell was she thinking? It was definitely the soju's fault. "Fine... I'm going to make things right with her, okay? But I don't know to what extent 'okay' means," the maknae replies.
"You are so damn hopeless, I can't..." Chaeyoung's voice trails off, and she pinches Lisa's cheeks. "Lalisa, you'll get through this."
The main dancer laughs, but it sounds like it doesn't contain any humor. "I don't think my feelings for her will disappear any time soon."
As Jisoo pays for their drinks, she eyes Lisa. Even though the youngest doesn't show it, Jisoo knows that she's really hurt about the news. She's been with the girl long enough to know. As the eldest, she felt the need to take on the motherly role. She held the girls on their saddest and happiest moments. She's seen each one of them in their worst, but still, she tries her best to cheer them up.
The media may shine Lisa in a way that she's shown as someone who's bubbly and outgoing, but usually off camera, she's the quietest. All of her fellow members know how she bottles up her emotions and hardly shows it to anyone.
"Lisa... please don't hide whatever you are feeling right now. Don't hide it from us," Jisoo says, stroking Lisa's hand with her thumb.
Lisa shakes her head. The last time she opened her mouth and poured out everything, it had cost her the girl she loves. She's not going to repeat that. "Unnie, thank you for your concern, but I'm fine, I promise," she reassures, smiling.
It's a huge lie. She's on the verge of tears, she just wants to stay in her room and try to forget all this. But she decides that lying is better in this situation. She doesn't need pity.
