4. Oh, Desolation and Thrill

"You are such a pain in the ass," Jisoo groans, rubbing her back. "Literally. Why did you kick me?"

Lisa laughs. "You were bending over, so I couldn't help it," she replies, sticking her tongue out.

Chaeyoung chuckles at their silliness. The fandom actually calls them the crackhead duo, which isn't actually inaccurate.

They are back in their dorms, but Jennie still hasn't arrived, which doesn't settle well with Lisa (although she won't admit it).

"Kick me one more damn time and you will see your life flash by." Jisoo scowls, sitting down on the sofa. "I should've left you at the cafe when I had the chance."

"You told manager-oppa that I was already in the car when I was still at the comfort room!" Lisa exclaims, collapsing on top of the oldest, who screams bloody murder. "You are so cruel."

"That wasn't even a quarter of how much shit you put me through!" Jisoo shoots back, pushing the maknae off of her. "Ugh, you smell, Lisa! Go take a shower or something."

While the two bicker, Chaeyoung receives a text from Jennie.

Jennie: Are u guys already home?

Chaeyoung is quick to type a reply.

Chaeyoung: Yeah, not too long ago. When are you getting home?

Jennie: I'll there in a few mins

As Chaeyoung puts her phone down, she hears Lisa yell at Jisoo from her room while the eldest was sitting beside the main vocalist. "You are so full of shit, Jisoo unnie!" The youngest teases, laughing hysterically.

"Shut up for five minutes, will you?" Jisoo yells back, turning the television's volume up to drown the maknae out.

Lisa approaches the two of them with a mischievous grin.

"What in god's name are you up to now?" Jisoo asks, her voice defeated as she knows that once Lisa starts being annoying, she won't stop anytime soon.

The youngest shakes her head, her annoying smile still plastered on her face. "What? Can't I smile for no reason?"

Jisoo rubs her temples and takes a deep breath. "The last time you were like this you put whipped cream on my pillow, you little..."

"I'm home!" A soft voice calls from the front door, and footsteps can be heard. "I'm sorry I went home a little late, but I was kind of preoccupied with things."

Jennie appears into full view, making Lisa's heart almost burst out of her chest. She's wearing the sweater the main dancer gave her. "Hey, Jen! Good thing you came home already, it was getting kind of late," Jisoo greets, giving her a warm smile.

"Hi, unnie!" Chaeyoung chirps, waving her hand.

The main rapper smiles at both of them and returns a greeting of her own. She turns her attention to Lisa, who's looking everywhere but at her. "Hi, Lisa," she says softly, preparing herself in case she receives the silent treatment.

A few moments pass, and Jisoo and Chaeyoung look like they want to hit Lisa on the head. The maknae is looking at the floor, wringing her fingers.

Jennie's ready to bail to her room, when she hears an all too familiar voice. "Hey, unnie." It makes the heat rise on her neck. It's not the same, because Lisa used to hug her really tight as a greeting, but Jennie decides that this is as good as any.

"Chaeyoung and I are going to watch some movies in my room, excuse us," Jisoo says, pulling the main vocalist along with her. "Don't disturb us, okay?"
