chapter nineteen.
no more heartbreaks❦
"OSCAR! OSCAR!" THE call of his name had led to the towel within his grasp being tugged away from his hair in which he had washed, a shower beginning his morning before he was ready to figure out a way possible to take down Lucien, to rid him of the power the Ancestors had given him. The gingered brunettes brows furrowed in confusion with the continuous call that had led to his fast movement, moving with speed near enough to dry his hair as he recognised the panic call that had filled the tone of Camille O'Connell. She had stumbled her way into the compound, Oscar had left her for the night, knowing that he needed to return home in order to help his aunt, as much as he wished to stay with her for the duration of the night, with her within his arms. But the Mikaelsons still had problems hung over their heads.
The young Mikaelson had skidded to a stop, nearly frightening Camille with his first appearance as he wandered why she had strolled into his home so early within the morning. It had only been a few hours since they had last seen each other. Which led to his belief that something was wrong, and with how she had staggered Oscar had been quick to guess that something had happened since he had left her in the believed safety of her studio apartment that no vampire could be invited in unless her next door number had granted them access.
"Camille?" Whenever he had chose to use her full name it was out of fear. "What's the matter?" He questioned.
"Something happened and you're gonna be angry," Camille begun to explain bringing the gingered brunette's brows to knit together with wonder of what she was suddenly being so vague about. "but Lucien wants you to be angry. He's trying to lure you into a trap."
Oscar knew that Lucien saw him as a threat, and the Castle was rather familiar with the way feelings sometimes clouded the Mikaelson, knowing that what he had done would drive him stupidly to his death. "What on earth did he do?" Oscar had panicked as his breath hitched in his throat, allowing for his fists to clench.
"Promise me you won't fly off the handle and do something crazy." Oscar's head firmly shook, knowing when it came to his anger it couldn't be controlled. "Promise me." Camille pleaded like, and as ready as he was to promise her, a whiff of blood had caught the interest of his nose, bringing his gaze to her arm, in which he had grabbed gently to pull the sleeve of her blouse to reveal a horrendous bite he knew couldn't be cured. "Before you lose it....Oscar," Her hand fell onto his cheek. "look at me." She instructed that had managed to tear his eyes away from the bite. "I love you. And I won't let you get yourself killed."
Before Camille had the chance to speak further, she had been weakened, her legs to weak to suddenly carry her that caused her to fall into her Oscar's grasp. "Camille." He warned her, as if it was to do any better.
Heavy breaths passed through her lips as she stared into the captivating eyes in which Oscar owned. "I just need you to know."
"I can tell you how much I love you tomorrow because you are not dying today." Oscar knew that they had a time stamp on Camille's survival as he had carried her within his arm, her head immediately falling to the comfort of his shoulder as he had stormed his way through the compound to a place where she could rest for the time being.
