"Wake up, Mitchell," Mum said to me. I opened my eyes to see the beautiful woman that is my Mother. Her long hair was decorated with flowers and she was smiling warmly at me. "Do you know what today is?" She asked.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "It's my birthday," I mumbled. I crawled into Mummy's lap and hugged her.

"That's right! My sweet little angel is turning four! Are you excited?" She asked as she picked me up and carried me downstairs to the kitchen.

"Yeah! Can we go to the park?" I asked. Mummy usually had to go to work after breakfast, but she took the day off on my birthday. I was really excited to spend the day with her and Daddy.

"Definitely!" Daddy said coming up behind me. He grabbed me from Mummy and swung me around. I squealed in delight. "But first we have to eat and you have to open your present." I nodded and we all sat down. After we all finished Daddy set a wrapped box on the table in front of me.

"Go ahead and open it, dear," Mummy said. I joyfully ripped into the colourful paper and looked into the box.

"Oh yeah!" I yelled searching through the contents of the contents of the box. There were three books and a notebook with a bunch of coloured pencils. I pulled out one of the three books and looked at it. I had seen it in a store one time with Daddy but decided not to say anything about wanting it because it was super expensive. "But these cost so much!" I said. "You didn't have to get these for me!"

Mummy and Daddy both laughed. "It's alright, sweetheart," Mummy said. "Besides, that book is written in a special language. I'm not even sure if you can read it. Now let's go spend all day at the park!" I nodded, the books forgotten. I ran up the stairs and quickly changed myself. I ran back down the stairs and through my shoes on. I scratched my werewolf ear and waited for Mummy and Daddy to come back.

"You put your shirt on backwards!" Daddy laughed coming over to me. "Let me help you with that." He helped me flip my shirt around and took my hand in his. Mummy came out a few minutes later and took my other hand.

"Are we all ready to go?" She asked smiling down at me.

"Yeah!" I laughed and we headed out. Mummy and Daddy swung me up and down as we walked to the park, causing me to squeal with joy. Once we got to the park, I ran to the playground. I played for a little while by myself and then asked Daddy if he could push me on the swing.

"Yeah! Let's go!" He said. We both ran to the swing set and he started pushing me.

"Higher! Higher!" I laughed. Hours passed as me, Mummy, and Daddy all played on the playground.

"I think we should head back home for lunch," Mummy said to us.

"I think you're right," Daddy responded, picking me up. We walked back to the house and ate lunch.

I finished first and asked, "Can I go colour?" Daddy nodded and I grabbed my box and headed up to my room. I started off by colouring but then got the desire to look at my books. "I wonder what Mummy was talking about. These books are written in English..." I said to myself. I grabbed the book on top and read the title aloud. "Healing and Protection: A guide for intense Magik Spells."  I took out the next one. "Elemental Magiks" I pulled out the last one. "Spirits: Good and Bad." I opened the last one and read a note scrawled on the first page.

"WARNING! Do not read anything from this book aloud! Bad things will happen if you do!

"I wonder what that means..." I said. I continued reading the book until I came to a phrase that I didn't understand. I walked downstairs with the book and went up to Mummy and Daddy. "What does ' vto kepranshls itrfc mdsv sepr ooase te ioise ' mean?"
