~~~~~~~~~~Mitch's POV~~~~~~~~~~
"It worked!" I was really happy as I sat in the middle of the half circle facing my friends' shocked expressions. I glanced behind me to where Quinn sat and saw the four Elemental Gods and Goddesses.
"Moon sends her blessings and regrets for not being able to come." Mother Earth said.
"I figured," I said. "I also invited some of my friends to join us tonight."
"Yes, I see that. And they're grouped together as in a normal ritual setting." Father Sun said. "I thought you didn't care for the old ways."
"I don't. But it does solve the seating arrangements quite nicely." I said. "Now come in and take a seat." The higher-ups walked to their seats behind each group. I looked at Quinn and gestured for him to join me. He came over and sat by me. "Which one of them did you feel the most when they came here?" I whispered to Quinn. He looked at each of the gods and thought about it. Finally, he pointed at Brother Wind.
"That's great!" Brother Wind waved his hand and Quinn floated over to him and Mia. Quinn giggled like crazy the entire time.
"Show off." Sister Sea stuck out her tongue at her brother.
"Is this normal for you Mitch?" Alex asked me. "Do you talk to the gods like this every Saturday night?"
"Usually. Unless I'm too tired or could care less." I responded. "Either that or when I'm angry at those idiots for doing something."
"You are one of a kind." Father Sun laughed. "No mortal has ever called us idiots before."
"Except for Terra when she was a teenager. Every time we made her spells act up, she called us idiots." Mother Earth said.
"That's one of the things I need to talk with all of you about." I paused to regain their attention. "Any ideas about how I should expel those spirits?"
"Remember what I told you?" Father Sun said. "If you talk with them long enough, then their souls will obliterate the spirits."
"That's great and all, Fire Boy, but how am I supposed to talk with them if I can't get them to listen to a single word I say without them beating the shit out of me?"
"I may have forgotten about that part..." Father Sun said sheepishly. In front of him, Alex was trying to hold back his laughter.
"I'm sorry...but 'Fire Boy?'" Alex asked.
Father Sun slapped the back of Alex's head. "You're not allowed to say that ever again. Neither are you, Mitchell."
Alex and I both laughed at Sun's comment.
"Back to the topic at hand," Mother Earth said, "Don't talk with them alone. You have your sister and all of these people here to support you. Why haven't you discussed it with them?"
"Because this was your idea," I responded. "I was perfectly content living in my self-hate and beatings, but you five decided that I needed to fix it." The air shifted around me as I felt Moon's presence.
"Is there a vessel I can borrow to yell at this bitch?" Moon's voice rang in my head.
I sighed and looked at Luna. "What?" She asked.
"Want to be a vessel for a few minutes?" I asked her.
"Umm... What does that mean?" Luna's eyes glazed over while Moon talked privately. "Oh, yeah sure."
I sighed and whispered the phrase that Moon sent to me. Luna's body lit up with the goddesses powers and her eyes changed to grey.
"First off, do not say that you were content. We all know that you hate living like this." Luna/Moon said. "Also, you need to start relying on people more. It's not healthy to do things by yourself all the time."
