Back at the Resort

I pulled into a parking spot and we all got out. We walked into the lobby of the resort and were instantly smothered by worried mums and dads. I got pulled into a tight hug from Alex's mum.

"I'm so happy you all are alright! I can't express how happy I am!" Lydia exclaimed. I gently tried to untangle myself from her to no avail.

Alex laughed next to me. "Don't bother trying. She won't let go even if her life depended on it." I managed to get her to a permanent side hug which allowed Luna to attach herself to my other side.

"Mum and Dad are here," Luna whispered to me. I nodded.

"I'm glad the two of you are all right!" Mother said. She and Father stood there not really showing any sympathy at all.

"Yeah... We're fine." Luna responded. Lydia and Mother got into a conversation about something not important. I untangled myself from the two girls and walked to a nearby bench. My ankle had started hurting really bad early this morning, but I didn't want to worry anybody. Eventually, Ivan Sosa came over and sat next to me.

"Was everyone really alright?" He asked quietly.

I was too tired to lie, so I shook my head. "Not really. I won't go into details but Luna and Derek had to use severe healing spells."

He shook his head. "I only ask because all of you seem exhausted. Especially you, Derek, and your sister."

"Will make it through. We just need a little time." I said. And that was the truth. This was a traumatic experience and all, but time was the only thing that is needed.

"Of course you do. You are different though..." Lydia said coming up to me and Ivan. She made Ivan scoot over and she sat next to me. "I've never met a werewolf that couldn't use magiks. Or hide their true selves in public."

I stared at her gaping. No one had ever even guessed that I was a werewolf. Ever. She laughed at me. "Close your mouth, dear. We can talk more later. I'll give you my phone number and we can meet up." She then walked back over to the group.

"You're a werewolf?" Ivan asked. "Does Alex or the others know?" I nodded. "I'll be damned. I knew you were hiding things, but I never would have guessed that. Are your parents' werewolves?"

"My mum isn't, but I've been told that my father is," I responded, starting to feel uncomfortable.

"So that isn't..."

"No, he isn't my father, and Luna is my half-sister," I said.

"I never would have guessed that. Besides your hair and ever-changing eyes, you two look almost exactly alike." Ivan commented. He stood up. "We should get back to the group before they start worrying more." I nodded and got up. I could feel the slight limp I had and hoped nobody noticed it.

"Let's go, Luna. We'll walk you back to your room." I heard Mother say.

"Wait before you go," I said. I pulled out the car keys that I had and tossed them to her. She caught them in one hand. "What you asked for is in the back. I hope I got everything you wanted." I flashed a smile at them.

"Well...uhh... Thanks, son." Mother said. She seemed surprised by my actions. Luna, Mother, and Father left for the elevators.

"What happened to you Terra?" I heard Roland say. I whipped my head around at the mention of Mother's name.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Oh, well, I just mean that she used to be such a kind person, as well as her husband. It's like an evil spirit has taken residence in her body. She used to help anyone and everyone, but now it seems like she couldn't care less." Roland responded sheepishly. "But you boys should get back to your room and rest. We can talk at another time."
