Year 7

Michael's POV

School. The worst invention on the planet.

Why?

Just why?

No one likes it, so why?

I'm thirteen for goodness sakes! Cut me some slack! I shouldn't learn all this science crap when I want to be a rockstar later in life. Common sense people...

There was only reason why I went to school. And that reason was that I wasn't able to drop out yet. To be honest, I wouldn't mind being home schooled. I do have two awesome guys who I consider to be my friends, so there's another reason for me to stay I guess. They're named Calum and Luke. Luke and I are just getting out of this phase where we hated each other, but it's all good now... I think. Calum is awesome though.

I sat in room 108 in the back of the room as the science teacher talked about something. Notice I said "about something" because I have no idea what the hell she is talking about. Something about atoms or newtons or... I don't even know.

So I sat there and got bored so I scanned the class for other bored people.

I found this one girl who was sitting in the back on the other side of the room. She was sitting there slouched in her chair and writing, no drawing, something in this notebook. I've seen her do this frequently actually. She was new this year and never really talked. Today she was wearing her usual skinny jeans and a T-shirt that had a blue rectangle box on it. Not quite sure what it was...

Her name was Amelia. I knew this only because everyone talked about her. I would have thought she'd be hanging out with the preppy people, but she's hanging out with all the dorky people which I find incredibly brave. All the guys always talk about her too... I don't look at her like that...

I do like her hair though... maybe I should start dying my hair. Hers was a reddish orangish color with pink streaks throughout it.

A few minutes later, the science teacher woman told us to put our textbooks back on the shelf. I got up and walked over to the shelf and put my textbook in its right place.

Amelia was there too. She put her book up and walked away then sat down. I did the same but on the opposite side of the room.

We were all packing up our backpacks when the bell rang. I got up and walked out as I did all the time.

Amelia's POV

It was time to go home and I took off. I don't want to be at school any longer than I needed to. I went out and walked to the carpool lane.

As I was walking down the cement walkway, I saw a guy from science class. His name was Michael, I believe.

He was just standing on the walkway with two other guys. I know one was Calum, not sure about the other. The other had blonde hair in this upped, quiff style.

I just walked by them to get to my mum's car. "TARDIS girl!" someone called.

I turned around and saw Michael and his friends looking at me. It was the one I didn't know that called me over. I waved my awkward "llama like" wave and was about to continue walking, but they motioned towards me.

I walked over to them and stood facing them. "Hello," I said awkwardly.

"Hey," the three said.

"Michael couldn't help but notice your TARDIS shirt," the one with the cool hair said.

"He's a big fan of Doctor What," Calum added.
