In Michael's Car

Michael's POV

To be completely honest, the two of us drove around for a few hours like idiots. We'd stop at some places and just do stuff.

I knew Amelia was really wild once you got to know her, but I never knew she could get this wild. She is a free spirit with me tonight and she's just a ton of fun.

The two of us decided that we were getting hungry so we stopped at Macca's. Good thing it was open 24 hours. I parked and we walked in arms linked and looking like freaks. She was still in her prom dress and she still looked stunning.

We walked into the fast food restaurant and stepped into the empty line. "Hi, welcome to Macca's, how can I help you?" the unenthusiastic worker dude said.

"I'm going to get a triple cheeseburger with a large fry. I'd also like a Coke with that," I told him.

"Same, thanks," Amelia said. "Except I'd like a root beer with it and nothing but cheese on the burger."

The guy then punched in the price and I gave him the amount in cash. Our food was ready in under two minutes and we went to go sit down at a booth.

We sat down sitting across from each other. I opened the bag and handed her her meal and pulled mine out. "Thanks," she said as she put ketchup on her burger.

"It's no problem," I replied eating a fry.

She then quickly downed her cheeseburger and then made her way onto her fries. I then laughed at her. "See this is a reason why I love you," I told her. "You are one of those awesome girls who is not a salad girl."

She rolled her eyes. "I hate those salad girls," she groaned. "Don't even get me started on them. Good thing I hate salad."

I just smiled to myself as I took a bite.

When we were through with eating, we got back in the car and drove to my apartment. By the time we actually got to my place it was nearly 1:30 in the morning.

I parked my car in the parking lot and we went up the elevator to my floor; floor 5. When we got to apartment 58, I opened the door and showed her my beautiful apartment. Thankfully, it was all clean.

"Welcome to my humble abode," I said spreading my arms out.

She laughed a bit and bit her lip as she looked around. "It's very nice," she nodded.

"Thanks," I said. "Did you want to borrow something to wear?"

"Sure," she said as she plopped down on the couch in the main room.

I then went down the hall and went into my room. I went into my closet and pulled out my Jack Daniels shirt and a pair of one of the very few boxers I owned. Then I grabbed a pair of boxers for myself to sleep in with the Rolling Stones shirt I had on. I then came back into the living room and handed her the clothes. She then took them and went into the bathroom to get changed into them. A few minutes later, she came back and was wearing my clothes. I smiled and she smiled back. Her hair was now in a ponytail from the raggedy bracelet/hair-holder she always wore and her makeup was all gone. You could barely tell the difference whether she had makeup on or not, but either way she was absolutely beautiful.

She sat back on the couch and I told her that I wrote a song. She then insisted on me playing it for her, so I grabbed my guitar and came back out.

I cleared my throat and looked at her. "This is called 'Heartbreak Girl'," I told her. "You called me up, it's like a broken, record saying that your heart hurts. That you'll never get over him getting over you..."

"...Hold you tight straight through the daylight, I'm right here when you gonna realize? That I'm your cure, heartbreak girl..."

"...And I'm stuck in the friendzone again and again. I dedicate this song to you, the one who never sees the truth. That I could take away your hurt, heartbreak girl..."

I finished the song shortly after and looked up at her. "What did you think?" I wondered.

She then clapped rapidly. "It was great!" she exclaimed. "But why use the nickname Seth gave me? His stupid nickname isn't worthy of being the title of your fantastic song."

I shrugged. "It just seemed right," I replied.

I then just looked at her. I could see her eyes drooping and she was getting awfully tired. I then grabbed her hands and brought her down the hall to my room slowly. I quickly unmade my bed and she got in one side and I got in the other.

We faced each other and smiled. She then kissed my forehead. "Goodnight, Michael Gordon Clifford," she said about to fall into a deep sleep.

"Goodnight, Amelia Rose Oswald," I responded kissing the top of her head.

She then quickly fell fast asleep and I watched her sleep until I did the same.
