The Park
Michael's POV
I've been trying to get together with Amelia for a few weeks now and she's always too busy. Luckily, she told me she was free this weekend so she invited me to meet her at the park. I happily obliged and I made sure I looked my best for her. When I say my best, I mean my usual black jeans and Metallica shirt.
As I parked my car on the curb of the park, I saw her at a bench looking down at her phone. A smile spread across my face as I locked my car and walked over to her. She saw me and quickly turned off her phone and put it into her pocket. She then stood up and gave me a hug, and I hugged back.
"Sorry, I haven't seen you in forever," she apologized.
"It's fine," I replied.
Amelia pulled away and smirked at me. "How many times have you colored your hair since I last saw you?" she questioned.
I corkscrewed my mouth and thought about it. "Hmm," I hummed. "Two times. It was green and purple. Now it is candy blue."
She laughed a bit. "I can see that," she commented.
"Aren't you going to ask how your 'gay' best friend is?" I asked teasing her.
She rolled her eyes and sighed. "I'm sorry for calling you gay," she apologized. "Just drop it, I'm so sorry! But, yes, how are you?"
"Fine, I guess," I responded. "Nothing much has really happened."
"Yeah, same," she said looking down. "So, why did you want to see me so badly?" she asked looking back up.
I shrugged. "I just wanted to see you again," I confessed. "It's been too long."
"I agree," she said as she linked her arm into mine. "How 'bout we go and get something to eat?"
"Is that really a question for me?" I asked.
This made her laugh which made me smile. The entire day with her was spent just talking about random things. She did most of the talking, and it was mostly about the different fandoms she was in. When I did talk I talked about the progression of the band and how we were earning some fans on YouTube and she got really excited for me.
She then proceeded to talk about school and how much more shitty it was without me. She said that prom was next month and that she wasn't sure if she was going to go. It wasn't just because she didn't have a date, it was because parties and dances weren't her scene. Then she told me that her mum was forcing her to go and she was upset by this. I told her everything would be fine and she'll have a lot of fun, but she still didn't want to go.
It was a nice time with her, and I'm glad I got to have this moment.

Outside of School
Amelia's POV
I was walking to my motorcycle to go home from hell when I heard someone yell from behind. "Hey, heartbreak girl!" Seth yelled. I knew it was him before I could turn around because him and his friends have been calling me this for months now. I hated it with a passion, a deep passion.
I turned around and glared at him. "What the hell do you want?" I asked him with my full attention.
Seth smiled and put his arm around me. "Don't talk like that, baby," he said as he rubbed my shoulder.
I shook his hand off of me. "Don't touch me," I warned. I then turned back around and continued to the parking lot.
"Just hear me out, Ams!" he called with a bit of helplessness in his voice.
I looked at him and crossed my arms. "What?"
Seth then came back to me and stood directly in front of me. "What's the real reason you broke up with me?" he wondered.
I rolled my eyes. "I thought I made it plenty clear to you the day we were no longer?"
Seth shook his head. "You didn't," he stated. "Now, please tell me why."
"You are a man-whore," I said flatly. "You go out with every single slutty girl here just so you can get to them."
"You aren't slutty," he countered raising an eyebrow. "Why do you think I went out with you?"
I shrugged. "You needed to change up your lineup?" I guessed.
Seth laughed a bit and shook his head. "No," he denied. "I went out with you because you were different and I thought I could treat you right. Apparently, I didn't and you went out with my brother. I heard you two broke up and now you're single again. I'd like to change that."
"Are you serious?" I asked sarcastically. "Why do you think I'd want to get back with you?"
He shrugged. "I don't know, you tell me," he replied. "I don't blame you if you don't want to, but all I'm asking for is a second chance. And that second chance is this weekend in the gym at 7:00."
Is this some kind of joke? Did he really think I was just going to take him back like that? I watched as he got down on a knee and grabbed my hand. "Amy Oswald, will you be my prom date this Friday?" he questioned.
Him holding my hand made me tingle inside. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to think. I know I'm going to regret this...
"Fine," I agreed looking at his cheeky smile.
Seth then shot up. He grabbed me and dipped me in his arms giving me a kiss. He then brought me back up. "See you then!" he smiled and left.
Well whoop-dee-shit, now I have to buy a prom dress. Ew.
Am I going to fast? I'm kind of close to the end... so a few more chapters!!!
