Last Day of School Before Christmas

1:30 PM

Amelia's POV

The final bell rang signaling that every should get the hell out of the building and go home. I walked out and saw Michael standing there. He smiled widely once he saw me and waved. I waved back and went rushing to him. "Hey," I greeted.

"Hey," he replied. "Do you wanna come over?"

I was about to accept when I remembered Ashton and I had plans. I then bit my bottom lip and looked at him. "I'm sorry but Ashton and I were going to hang out together," I apologized looking down.

His smile dropped. "Oh, that's cool," he sighed. "Do you want me drive you home still?"

"Ashton was gonna pick me up," I told him regretfully.

"Oh, that's cool," he said emotionlessly.

I took in a deep breath awkwardly and looked at him. "You can come over tomorrow though," I said trying to cheer him up. "You're also invited to my birthday next week."

He cracked a smile and nodded. "Yeah, that be nice," he agreed.

Then a car pulled up. The window rolled down and Ashton was sitting there smiling and waving. I waved back and then waved farewell to Michael. He smiled back at me and watched as Ashton and I drove away.

Amelia's POV

Today was my birthday and I had spent most of my day in my room. Mainly because I didn't have anything better to do. All my guests should be showing up soon though. When I mean my guests I mean my core family, my grandparents, Michael, Luke, Calum, Lia, and Ashton. I wasn't planning on inviting Lia because she's been getting on my nerves lately, but she had asked when the party was and I couldn't lie.

I looked at myself in my bathroom mirror and examined myself. I looked at my new Fall Out Boy T-shirt I had received today I was wearing and then touched up my eyeliner a bit. The doorbell rang and I ran downstairs. I opened it and saw my grandparents standing there I greeted them and then soon after Calum, Michael, and Luke showed up. I hugged them all and then Ashton arrived. I hugged him for a long while and then gave him a quick peck on the lips before I brought them all upstairs to my room. I wasn't going to wait around for Lia because when you tell her to arrive at 3, she'll get here at like 5, so I'll just see her later.

I made all my friends sit down so we could just hang out. Luke sat in the chair that was in front of my desk; Calum situated himself on the edge of my bed; Michael leaned against the wall; and Ashton sat on my bed.

I was standing up and smiling at everyone. "What's going on?" I questioned awkwardly as Ashton grabs my waist and puts me on top of him.

"Nothing much," Luke pipes up and says as he looks at Michael.

"That's good," I say awkwardly as I look around.

"What's for dinner?" Michael wondered.

I laughed a bit at his question because it's exactly the thing Michael would say. "My dad's making burgers and chips," I responded.

Michael smiled wide and clapped. "Excellent," he praised. "Can't wait."

About an hour later, Lia finally came to my door. I opened it and led her upstairs where all the guys were. She walked in and rolled her eyes.
